Owner description: Sailing on the Andrea Jensen is the ideal way to explore the spectacular coast and Marine Reserve around Alghero The trip appeals to all ages including small children and teenagers. We anchor in beautiful, secluded clear, calm bays for swimming and snorkeling (equipment provided) Delicious freshly prepared lunch served with a choice of local wines. We cater for all special diets, just let us know when booking. We specialize in taking small groups so that we can provide a personal service and this also means that there is plenty of deck space for relaxing and sunbathing.A welcome alternative to boats of the same size or smaller that take up to 70 people. A good chance of watching dolphins makes this a memorable day out. The food and drink that we offer is all bought locally from local delicatessen’s the meat is freshly cut each morning and the bread is supplied by a local baker, fruit and vegetables are supplied straight from the farms. Cheese are all local Sardinian produce. The Red, Rosy and white wines are bought from Santa Maria di Palma a local Co-Operative consisting of numerous small vineyards.

Nice people, relaxing and nice nature. If you are looking for some more real sailing, this is not the trip. However, a butiful day and vert good service, enthusiastic owners of the ship. Bathing, snorkelling and wonderfull food and drink. Recommended!

We decided to take on this excursion based on the recommendation of a coworker. In the words of my beautiful wife, "It was amazeballs!" We were at the docks at 0945 and were greeted by Vivienne, Geoff, and Juliano (sorry if i misspelled). We made our way out to sea at about 10am and no more than 15 minutes later we were greeted by 2 dolphins! This was our 5 year old daughter's favorite part of the trip. After a little bit of sight seeing along the coast, passing by Neptune's grotto, Vivienne decided on the best place to set up shop based on the amount of children on the trip. Once anchored, we were given the opportunity to jump ship and take a dip in the sea. They provided gear for snorkeling and flotation devices for the kids. After building up my appetite snorkeling i boarded the Andrea Jensen just in time for lunch. We started off with some freshly made caprese salad, olives, meats, and cheese. Then the main course of pasta with pesto, salad, and bread. The whole time we were stuffing our faces with the delicious lunch spread, Juliano came around to see if we needed refills of water, tea, wine, and most importantly-beer! The hospitality was truly unbelievable. After lunch we had some more time to play in the water before it was time to head back into town. As we set adrift, Vivienne started barking orders (in a nice way), allowing everyone on the boat to help raise the sails. Even all the kids on the boat took part in raising the sails. Then came the adrenaline rush! We hopped on a small motor boat, 2-3 at a time, and drove out far enough to take pictures of the Andrea Jensen. Then that crazy guy, Juliano, went full throttle and zipped around, in front, and be behind the Andrea Jensen coming within inches from hitting the boat! He did this a couple times, probably because he got a kick out of hearing me scream like a baby. It was now time to head back to Alghero and say our farewells. We had an amazing time on our journey with the crew of the Andrea Jensen and it was the most memorable experience we had on our vacation to Alghero. It was "Amazeballs" in every single way!

This may be more expensive than other boat trips out from Alghero but it's worth every cent. The boat is amazing, beautifully restored with plenty of room on board to spread out as they only take a limited number of guests. The crew are very hospitable and attentive with Vivienne learning everyone's name so you instantly feel like family or friends. The trip took us out to the fish farm and then round to Capo Caccia and, as we did so, we were treated to a pod of dolphins swimming with us for about 10 minutes. Ok, this doesn't happen on every trip! We then continued to motor round past the headland where we then stopped in a lovely bay for swimming, snorkelling and lunch. The snorkelling gear is provided for free as are all extras so once you have paid your initial fee, that's it. Lunch was simply delicious and included beer and wine or soft drinks. In fact, coffee, tea, biscuits and soft drinks had been provided on the journey to the bay and on the return together with plenty of fresh fruit. After lunch and more swimming or chilling out, we raised the sails and set off as a real sailing boat...it was great fun to be part of the crew and help out. On the return journey we stopped and were treated to a trip on the inflatable boat, two at a time, so we could take pictures of the Andrea Jensen in full sail, as well as having a bit of fun zipping around on the water! Sadly, it was then time to head back to port with memories of a full 7.5 hour day packed with amazing experiences, good food and the best customer service I have ever come across on a day boat trip. Definitely recommend and I will certainly be returning. Thank you to Team Andrea Jensen!
