We stayed at Il Cagliarese just for couple of days but we enjoyed every bit of it. Breakfast was broad and delicious. Rooms were very clean and newly decorated. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone.

We had some wonderful nights in Cagliari at Il Cagliarese. The Rooms are clean and beautiful.
Mauro and Lorenzo are always very helpful if advices are needet with public transport, sightseeing or finding a good restaurant.
The breakfast is the best we had in Sardegna, including salty and sweet components.
It is so much, you will definetly be satisfied and good prepared for a long day of sightseeing in Cagliari. If we'll go to Cagliari again, we're sure to stay at Il Cagliarese again.
Much Thanks, and best regards!

I picked this place based on Lonely Planet and it was right as usual. Very warm and cozy place right in the perfect spot not far from train station, close to bus stop e walk to everything you need. Mauro e Lorenzo will make you feel like a guest in their house rather than a customer. I recommend listening to their suggestions for places to eat, gelato e excursions. When I go back I will stay here again. Grazie Mille!!!

We stayed at Il Cagliarese for 3 nights at the beginning of June 2014. It is tucked away in a small street off Via Roma in the Marina district - difficult for strangers to the City to find, but that proved not to be a problem as Mauro telephoned us when we failed to show up at the agreed time. We were nearby and Mauro sent his nephew, Lorenzo, to escort us to a free parking place, before carrying most of our luggage and guiding us to the house. Such courtesy was beyond the call of duty and throughout our stay Mauro and Lorenzo were extremely helpful in recommending restaurants specialising in Sardinian cuisine and places of interest to visit in the City.
The breakfasts were quite the best we have ever experienced in Italy. Everything was of the finest quality and freshness and over the 3 days we were able to feast on delicious prosciutto crudo and melon, different types of cheese, fresh tomatoes, fruit salad, fruit juices, cherries and wonderful home-made cakes filled with mascarpone and jam, little pastries filled with tomato and excellent coffee.
The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with air conditioning and Wi-Fi available; the bathroom equally spacious and well-equipped.
There was also a kitchen where tea (we have never seen so many different varieties available) and coffee making facilities were on hand, a help-yourself tin of biscuits and a variety of cold drinks and water available from the fridge at no extra cost.
A large collection of books on Sardinia and maps were available for information.
We would certainly recommend Il Cagliarese to anyone wanting a really special place to stay when visiting Cagliari.

If you go to Cagliari, don't hesitate to book a room at Il Cagliarese. We spent 2 night at the end of May. Owner Mauro is very friendly, kind and welcoming. He gives a lot of advise for good restaurants (try them, you won't regret it), things you have to see, transport information,... He will hand you over a map of the city centre when you arrive, so can start to explore the city immediately. Breakfast is probably the best you will ever get in Italy. I am a vegetarian, and Mauro provided a special focaccia, pizza and other cheesy things instead of ham. The cakes and sweets are also extremely delicious! The room was clean and charming, with airconditioning, and a spacious bathroom with window. Very quiet, but right in the middle of the city centre of Cagliari. We only had to make a 5 minute walk to the train station, where the car rentals are. We would very much recommend this B&B, and would definitely come back!

This is by far the best B&B I’ve ever been to. Mauro and his family go the extra mile to make sure guests are taken care of, offering help and friendly advice. The varied, fresh and personalized breakfast was truly fabulous and guests are welcome to make themselves tea or coffee and take bottled water at other times during the day or evening. The B&B only has four guest rooms (though they are working on an expansion to an upper floor); mine was lovely and spotlessly clean. The only drawback was facing the steep flights of stairs up to the B&B after a day of walking around the very hilly city of Cagliari! (Apparently another apartment owner in the building holds the rights to the elevator.) However, always concerned for his guests, Mauro came out to carry up my luggage when I arrived, and his nephew Lorenzo carried it down when I left! They really are an incredibly kind family. Central location in the Marina district – near the port, a short walk from the train station and not far from the castle and other districts.

Il Cagliarese is in a great location in Cagliari. You can walk to anywhere in the town or old town and if you want to go further afield the bus stops are a few mins walk away. We were warmly welcomed by Lorenzo (Mauro's nephew) and he marked the location of anything we were looking for on a map for us.
The room is wonderful..comfortable beds, air con works, bathroom is good size and all is spotless.
There are even pegs on the line outside your bedroom window! Bedroom faces an internal courtyard, so lovely and quiet...a very pleasant surprise given it's location.
Breakfast is copious and beautifully fresh...Mauro chats to you as he's squeezing fresh orange juice and making fresh fruit salad. His sister makes heavenly cakes and the bread is lovely and fresh, as are the meats & cheese.
Only place we stayed at (in 20 days) that gave guests access to fridge of bottled cold water for free and had a selection of teas you could enjoy at any time.
This was the perfect way to end our holiday.
