We stayed at Marina di Castello for four nights at the end of a 2-week holiday to Sardinia. The top floor location provided a fabulous view of via Roma, across to the marina and uphill to the city from the roof terrace and it was a lovely spot to sit and eat breakfast or relax with a book and a beer late afternoon. (For more great views head up to the Bastione San Remy or climb the Elephant Tower and see if you can spot the roof terrace from above).

The B&B is right at the heart of Cagliari and an excellent base for exploring the Marina and Castello districts - definitely recommended for a city break.

I knew from our correspondence that Sabrina would be fun to meet, but she was even warmer, more charming and more helpful than I imagined. Her restaurant and sightseeing recommendations for the four days we spent in Cagliari were wonderful, and she provided heaps of written material for us to review. She really made us feel as though we were old friends who had come to stay in her home, and indeed half the top floor is her home. The B&B is well located in the central and historic part of Cagliari, on the harbor, which you can see from the umbrella-shaded rooftop terrace, where breakfast is served. You can also go up there with a bottle of wine at the end of the day if you wish. Our room was large, comfortable and bright, with whimsical touches in the decoration, which reflect Sabrina's open and happy disposition. Our bathroom was large and always very clean, with racks to spread our towels (unlike many more upscale hotels!).The rainfall shower had good pressure and hot water was plentiful. You do need to wait ten minutes for the next person to shower., but that's really not a problem. Breakfast included bread, ham, cheese, hard-boiled egg, if you wanted it, fresh bread, fresh fruit, juice, cappuccino, regular coffee and tea. Also offered was a small selection of sweet pastries, which we left behind. Sabrina's staff are also gracious and friendly. This was our first trip to Sardegna, and Cagliari was our fist stop. We couldn't have been happier. Thank you, Sabrina.

My mother and I spent one lovely night at Marina di Castello. The B&B has a great location, it is in Via Roma, one of the most beautiful street of Cagliari between the harbour and the old city.
Sabrina, the owner, is really nice and she gave us a lot of good suggestions about Cagliari what to see, where to eat, where to shop....
The B&B is wonderfull, every room has a particular outfit. Our was all set up in red, the bed, the bathroom, the towels. Every small detail was perfect.
We had breakfast on the roof terrace, that has a stunning view upon Cagliari and the see. Nothing better to start a great vacation day!

What a gem!

ROOMS:
The B&B is only 3 years old and extremely stylishly decorated in modern Italian design in very bright and high-ceyling rooms. Every little detail is well-designed and we felt like in a modern flat of an Italian very hospitable family with very good taste!

SERVICE:
The host - Sabrina - is very, very friendly and so helpful to give you recommendation in everything you want to know. Shopping, sightseeing, transfers, restaurants...

LOCATION:
Top location in the old town, in one of the beautyful old buildings in front of the port.
The ROOF TERRACE is amazing, very nicely decorated and overlooking the sea and the port.
In the other direction the roof terrace offers a view up the hill to see the middle-age buildings at the top of the old town.

BREAKFAST:
Even the breakfast is excellent and is served on the wonderful roof terrace. Boiled eggs, ham, cheese, fruits, yoghurt, sweets, and the excellent view!

Thank you Sabrina once more for the wonderful stay! If we ever come again to Cagliary, there is only one place to stay! :-)

great location and sabrina is extremely friendly and gives good advice on restaurant selection and things to do and see around cagliari. the accommodation in clean and comfortable.

my only critiscism is the breakfast - it could easily be so much better if the pre packages goods were exchanged for fresh bakery items - a simply but effective upgrade

also our window and little balcony only faced on to a light shaft - fine for fresh air and light - no view

Room Tip: book early - sabrina is often full

We spent 3 nights at Marina di Castello and found what can only be described as a little gem. Its on the 4th floor of an historic building right opposite the marina. Take the cute little red lift and come face to face with Sabrina, the owner of the B&B. A warmer welcome would be hard to find. She greets you like a friend come to stay! There are 4 rooms, all en-suite and all different in style. The whole apartment has a cool and contemporary feel about it. There is a kitchen/dining area complete with microwave, hob and coffee/tea making facilities plus a laptop with free wifi to use.
Breakfast is had up on the roof terrace where there are amazing views over the marina (unless the weather dictates otherwise, then it is provided in the dining area). Sabrina made our breakfast for us as we were leaving early for the airport - she made sure we didnt go hungry.
The B&B is perfectly placed for the shops and restaurants and even the parking right opposite the building was free for the whole 4 days.
I would thoroughly recommend staying at Marina di Castello and would happily stay there again!
