“A Gem in the City”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

We only stayed for one evening on our way back to the airport but found a wonderful place to stay. We received a very warm welcome from Alice the owner who was very helpful with tips on what to see and where to eat!
The rooms were beautifully furnished and you could tell that a lot of attention to detail and care had been taken when decorating the B & B.
Breakfast was wonderful!
Would be an ideal place to stay for a city break in Cagliari
Highly recommended

My wife and I stayed at Fior di Loto on two separate occasions. One night was by ourselves and another was with our good friends and traveling companions (from South Africa…now living in the U.K.). We all loved this place. When my wife and I first arrived, Alice (the owner) met us and spent considerable time helping us park our car on the rather busy street in front of her B&B. Upon entering her wonderfully appointed accommodation, she provided us with an especially warm and caring welcome. Our room was beautifully decorated and most comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and was topped off by Alice’s incredibly helpful and detailed suggestions as to what we should see and do. Alice told us that she wants to make sure that her guests are most pleased with their stay. She jokingly said that if we were not pleased with a restaurant that she recommended, she would take it into her hands to harshly scold the owners of the establishment. Our friends were also very impressed by Alice’s warm hospitality. In our considerable travels, the Fior di Loto ranks as one of the very best B&B’s. I can assure you that if you are lucky enough to book a room here, you will not be disappointed.

A very warm Thank You to Alice from Fior di Loto.
We had a really good time in Cagliari.
The B&B is a very nice place to stay, every room is individually decorated, very clean and a lot of beautiful details.
The B&B is middle in the city, close to all the places you need to see - just ask Alice, she will give all the needed information.
Breakfast is very good, homemade and regional products.
Parking is a little bit difficult, but with luck we catched a free spot.
We would come back for sure.

Room Tip: Lavender Room is very nice, decorated with Lavender and it smells like Lavender!!!! If you like Lav...

Hi, I'd just like to please ask anyone who has stayed there, are the bathrooms communal or does each have their own private bathroom? Also, we wont have a rental car so is it fairly easy to take public transport to the beaches of Cagliari and surrounding areas? Many thanks in advance!

Generally people are more tempted to crticize negatively. This case we'd like to point out all the positive aspects of our accommodation.
First of all Alice and Cesare the owners who revealed to be kind, lovely, helpful people, very close to us with a good practice of English to help, what they never fail to do. In one word fantastic
Then the room : large, clean, well decorated (furniture and flowers -roses (the name of our room), equipped with an excellent mattress on the "king size" bed.
A little negative remardk however : when the occupants of next door rooms are noisy and there are some !!!), you realize that the acoustic insulation of the walls is not perfect
The bathroom : very clean and with a shower pleasant to use.
The breakfast : really nice, various food (classic but also typical Italian (Sardinian) pastry and drinks for all tastes (fruit juice, coffee, tea and last but not least the excellent cappucino prepared by Cesare.
And to finish with the general service, small attentions just like bottles of water in your room and the electric kettle with a selection of tea bags + the coffee machine at your disposal if you want to prepare yourself a hot beverage at any moment you like.
Congratulations Alice and Cesare. You have become our Sardinian family and we are your best Belgian friends. We love you. You are great
