Small hotel in the center of Cagliari's busy streets. Not a large room but very clean. A helpful staff. For my one night's stay in the city it was perfect.

We had great experience by choosing this place to sleep. We came here on Friday and immediately fell in love with it. We wanted to stay for another night but everything was full. They have 8 rooms, they are simple, but comfortable. We were communicating a lot with Vincenzo, he was so helpfull! He helped us with everything. And the breakfast was great, better than in bigger hotels. We came back after 1 night in another hotel, because we really liked this one. I would reccomend it to anyone, and I would choose it once again, if traveling to Cagliari. Only notice that there is no wireless in rooms, but you can always use their computer at reception area. First night we were in room 204 and we had balcony on Vittorio Emanuele street and it was bit noisy, next night we spend in 202 and it was very peacefull. All best critics! F

We visited mid April 2012 and had a double room overlooking Corso Vittorio Emanuelle which can be a busy road but we found with the windows closed and shutters then we didnt hear a peep..

The rooms are spacious, very clean, with a safe, mini bar, satellite tv etc.. Far better equipped and spacious than we expected. Vinni the owner was very helpful and knowledgeable (and patient too we noted!) He was helpful with emails before our visit, organising taxis for us at cheaper rates.

Breakfast was the usual fare of breads, cereals, fruits, cakes etc, several juices, teas and unlimited coffee, very welcome after a very heavy night on the town.

Location wise, 5 minutes for Piazza Yenne, another five on to Antico Caffe and the Bastionme. The street has lots of restaurants and several bars, is five mins walk from the bus station.

Very strongly recommended, were we ever to return we would book again without hesitation...

Room Tip: Couldnt comment, what we saw of the other rooms looked of equal quality.

We stayed here for 3 nights during the Easter holidays. The place is clearly a family-run business with very helpful people at the reception. When we arrived on Easter Monday we were greeted by the cleaning man Marlon, who was extremely friendly and helpful. Also the other two young men who alternatively worked at the reception were kind.

The hostal is on the first floor, with a rather small reception/ breakfast space. It seems a bit awkward in the beginning, but since there are only a few rooms in the hostal, this doesn't cause too much of a problem in the morning.Only on one morning we had to wait a bit, but breakfast was good. There's a choice of cheese, ham, jam, fresh bread (rolls, croissants, toast), fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, fruit juice, coffee ,tea...

We had the twin room 101, with a view of Vittorio Emanuele, which can be rather busy with traffic. So, opening the window was not in. But the room itself was ample and clean. The only downside were the two remote controls for the TV and the channels , nearly allItalian spken or dubbed. But we didn’t ask for help here since we don’t watch TV a lot when visiting a city ;)

The hotel is ideally located, bang in the middle of the centre, only a few metres away from Piazza Yenne, and withe a few good eateries in the next street (Vittorio Emanuele , like "The Old Square").Some people experience some difficulty finding the place, but it's the brown wooden door right opposite nr 51 on the other side of this very narrow street of Porto Scalas. The building is also used by one or the other organisation, called UNUSI (or something like that...)
There is a door bell with the name on it and when the door isn't open , just ring and very soon someone will come to the door to greet you. When the door is open, however, don't make the mistake of climbing the stairs to the first floor. The hotel hides itself behind the (again) brown door left on entering the hall.

So, all in all ,we found our stay in Sa Domu Cheta quite agreeable, if you don’t expect luxury. But in that case you wouldn’t pick a hostel anyway, would you?

Really lovely B&B. The family who runs it are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. My room was beautifully decorated, very clean and good air-con. Room also had a safe and fridge. WIFI wasn't working in the rooms, but there was a computer to use in the reception area, though I would have preferred to use my laptop. Breakfast was delicious, with choice of cakes, ham and cheese, yoghurts, toast (or toasted sandwich if you want), fruit, crepes etc. Location is very good, just up from the station. There isn't a great deal to do in Cagliari, but if I ever go back I would certainly look to stay here.

We were amazed by the terrific service from Francesco and Vinnie who were so helpful. They arranged accomodation at very short notice when the ferry was cancelled, helped us get some medical help and were great at sorting out where we should visit in Cagliari.

Located 2 minutes from the Airport bus drop off and near everything! the port/harbour, castello/old town and all the sights are within walking distance of the hotel, and poetto beach is only a short bus ride away from via roma. The rooms were clean and beautiful, and had the most incredible blackout from light or noise for the most peaceful night of sleep you'll ever have. The staff were incredibly helpful, they helped us find the best restaurants in the area ('Sa Cardiga e Su Schironi' for the best porceddu), told us about the best beaches (away in chia but easy to get to) and they even made us breakfast after we had missed it! all in all a fantastic place that you would be foolish to miss out on.
