We took a while looking at different hotels within Olbia.
This Hotel was great
Staff were great, clean hotel and even better location. Easy walking distance to the old town main street and the good end.
Would highly recommend
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
We were looking for a one night stay in Olbia in the center, close to the port but in quiet part of the city. The hotel is the option to choose. Location is in the heart of Olbia still reachable by car. You can leave the vechice in an undergound parking which is free and is a plus. Rooms are ok, modern, clean, spacious and quiet. Breakfast was all right - plenty and enough options to choose. Overall recommended! Just the name of the hotel is weird...
We caught the number 10 minibus from airport to main piazza on Corso Umberto, the Hotel For You (name conjures images of a budget-type place and doesn't do the hotel justice as the place is a very good, above average 3* and locally rated 4* hotel) was a pleasant 7 minute walk down the main street and off a narrow lane to the left, easily found! Very modern ( I believe 4 years old) with stylish, minimalist furnishing and decor in public areas, a large outdoor terrace with seating and canopies, a pleasant bar/lounge and basement breakfast room. The bedroom was a little small and there didn't appear to be any rooms with balconies however it was spotlessly clean, serviced daily and was very comfortable (AC, minibar and 32" LCD tv). The reception staff all speak fluent English, were friendly and informative on places to go / directions etc. Paola was especially charming and very friendly. Free parking onsite and only 5 minutes walk to the main bus stops connecting to Costa Esmerelda and the airport. We would definitely stay here again...
Excellent location in the centre of Olbia, close to the local amenities and 20 minutes drive from Costa Smeralda. Very comfortable bedroom and bathroom - but the wi-fi did not work, which is not acceptable. Breakfast was below standards in terms of quantity and unremarkable in terms of quality. Fairly priced.
Our stay at Olbia started with a great staff attitude. We were really surprised by the friendliness and extraordinary service orientation at the reception, which is not so much in common at city hotels, where mostly pure professionalism is the case. As we stayed there for 2 weeks, we asked in advance to get a room with balcony and good view if possible. They made a note of our wish, without promising, as the have only one ot two balconies (it is a city hotel). So the second surprise was- beside a big and stylisch room- the amazing balcony with view to the sea and port on the right hand side, and to the city center on the other hand side (4th floor). Dring the whole stay, our rooms were cleaned daily in a very dilligent manner. The breakfast was good for an Italian hotel, good selection, however bread variety was somewhat limited (only toast and the white Italian bread rolls)- but this really the only thing that could be improved, and maybe the speed of the internet connection if you have to do some work. However these are minor points in contrast to the great service, rooms and excellent location- value for money is perfect.
We booked this hotel through booking.com & were very impressed once we got there. The staff was friendly & accommodating, the hotel was very clean, so were the rooms. The rooms are very modern & optimally appointed. Free wifi worked excellently. The location was great, a five minute walk had you in the heart of everything, city center, port, shopping, restaurants. The value for your money was very good, meaning it is priced very reasonably. We stayed only one ninght, as the next morning we would be taking the ferry back to Civitavecchia. The breakfast was surprisingly the best we had in Sardinia, it included scrambled eggs, sausage, pastries, juices, fruits & coffees. They made us a couple of great tasting cappuccinos & we left very satisfied.
We highly recommend it & we'd stay there again anytime!
