Very nice place in the middle of nature. Good place for children, but also for romantic dinner. Food is very tasty and different from the usual italians restaurant food. Service is very kind, smiling and caring. Highly recommend!!!!!

“If you're in East Sardinia, you simply must eat here....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2014

I ate at Agriturismo Agrisole last week with my partner and it was one of the best food experiences I have had (and I've had a few!).
The restaurant is based on a working farm that produces the produce you enjoy over dinner. The proprietor, Monica lives and works on the farm and her family have done so for several generations (with pictures on the walls to show it!).
In a day & age of trendy restaurants selling over-priced food shipped from all around the globe at unnecessary expense and impact to the environment, it was such a welcome and refreshing change to eat authentic local produce, made right there, the way it has been done for centuries. If you want the flavour of authentic rustic Sardinian food, this is it!
The taster menu at €30 is a bargain, with unlimited local wine and bread and so much good food over several courses.
There were families and couples dining when we visited on a Wednesday and a wonderful warm and friendly atmosphere, created by Monica, the owner.

“Honest sardinian meal and evening”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014 via mobile

Went to this restaurant on a friday evening without reservation and we were lucky to get the last free table. Most other tables were occupied by locals. 3 variations of a fixed menu, depending on how much you want. All-in price 20/25/30€.
It isn't refined top gastronomy but almost everything is produced in the local farm and very tasteful. Also a good opportunity to taste real traditional sardinian dishes. A relief besides the typical tourist dishes you get in other restaurants.
Another highlight is the service. A very friendly and helpful lady is running the service efficiently but always with a smile. You feel that she does it with heart and soul.
Enough wine was refilled and dinner completed with a mirto liquor. We were blessed by having a b&b nearby...

I recommend this to everyone who like to escape the typical tourist places.

“Excellent food, excellent service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014 via mobile

Booked dinner for 2 via email. Had a very quick reply from monica.
Got there at 8pm, it was faily empty (Wednesday in end of May), it filled up later in the evening.
The food was excellent, home made with local produce.
Monica (the owner) served us herself, we was lovely and very helpful and accommodating.
The food does keep oncoming so make sure you are hungry.
Definitely recommend.
The price was €30 p/p which included 7 dishes, bread, wine and water. There are cheaper menus.

“Many courses, some spectacular, a few 'meh'. Overall very good indeed.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

We visited Sardinia late May and still early in the holiday season which meant many of the recommended agriturismos (of which there are MANY) were either not open for dinner or closed until 1st June. My point is that there are many to choose from and it's can be difficult to find a genuine agriturismo that produces its own food or wine and doesn't feel like a tourist trap. I chose Agrisole because of its vicinity to our B&B, the favourable reviews on tripadvisor and the fact it was open! I breathed a sigh of relief that on the night we visited the 2 other European couples were outnumbered by 3 other tables of Italians (always a good sign)

Owner Monica didn't speak much english but enough to make feel really welcome, and happily brought us more of any of the dishes we liked. Extras is not something I would recommend simply because there are a lot of courses...

We chose the FULL local menu for 30 euros per person which came with local red wine; the home produced salamis and cured meats were delicious, the pickled aubergine was divine (and the only dish I asked to have more of) and the carrot, courgette smoked ricotta & pecorini salad tasted exactly as you think. The soup was underwhelming but the Mazzafrtissa (made to an ancient recipe semolina, milk, olive oil & honey) was wonderful. It was bizarre to be eating something which could be classed as a dessert so early on in the courses but I lapped it up.

The homemade gnocchi with tomato sauce was tasty (and plentiful) but the porchetta (roasted pig) was outstanding; juicy succulent meat and crispy salty crackling. I almost didn't have room for dessert which would've been a shame as the ball of creamy ricotta cheese smothered in mirto berry conserve was the perfect sweet note to end a delicious traditional sardo meal.

Would I come back to Agrisole? Only if the menu offered something different but that's not to say I don't recommend it, I do.. there are just so many Agriturismos to try out & so little time. At least with this one you know what you are getting and it's very tasty indeed.

What's more Monica sells her produce so you can take a little piece of Sardinia's gastronomy home with you.
