We have just spent a lovely week in The Abbaruja Hotel - cannot fault it at all. It's very easy to get a bus from olbia airport - the no 2 into the centre and then change to no 4 out to pittulongu .... 1€ for a ticket to cover both buses and the stop is almost outside the hotel.
The hotel is small and family run and has an absolute charm about it. Everyone is so friendly and cannot do enough to help. We purposely booked a small room as we live outside in warm climates - and sure enough it was very small - but had everything - a safe, air-con, mini bar/fridge,TV and an excellent en suite bathroom with hairdryer. if you want tea/coffee take a kettle or there is the option of buying one from the bar area. We had a small terrace which was lovely and a beautiful view across to the sea. If you want more space in the room then be sure to book a larger one. Also if you struggle with stairs then book a ground floor room as there are no lifts. We spent all our time outside which was lovely. The breakfast was very good for continental style and had everything you could want and was constantly being filled up. It was all very relaxed and easy. Room service was every day with fresh towels etc and it was spotlessly clean throughout. There was a nice atmosphere in the evening where we sat in the bar/ courtyard area with a glass of wine - everything was very reasonably priced. There is no pool but with a beautiful beach not 5 minutes walk away why would you need one?? There was a mini market and tabacchi less than 5 minutes walk and a number of restaurants. We were a bit limited as we are not great fish / seafood eaters but if you are, it's heaven!!! A short drive or bus ride into town would give a more varied choice . Overall we have no hesitation in recommending this charming and we'll run hotel to anyone - it was just perfect and if in the area again we would not consider anywhere else to stay.

The staff are the best thing about this place, friendly and will do anything for you. Its a clean and pretty hotel, very close to a beautiful beach. Room is a touch on the small side, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

As an American coming from New York finding a place to stay in a foreign country can sometimes be really nerve wracking. Stayed here during my very recent trip to Sardegna and couldn't have been happier. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, great breakfast, and a very very beautiful beach 5 minutes away on foot. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great stay for an affordable price. Restaurants near by were also very good. Only drawback was that wifi isn't accessible in the rooms but it was a great excuse to sit out in the garden area! They also make a great cappuccino for anyone who must get their morning espresso.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 10 days and have to say we had no issues at all.

We go on holiday and usually look for reasonably priced accommodation, this is because we like renting a car and driving to several different beaches, and restaurants in the evening. We can also get a lot of poor service at most affordable hotels but not here. Our room was cleaned everyday, and things you need like clean towels and toilet roll are replenished, we never had to ask for anything of the sort, the air con is free too which is nice. Even the wifi didn't give us problems! We had breakfast included to save the hassle of going out first thing every morning, there's a nice selection of food to eat and the coffee made by Roberto is very nice. There's a beach in walking distance, a mini supermarket and a few restaurants too, so even if you don't rent a car you'll be ok, but I'd still recommend renting one.

Everyone is kind and helpful in the hotel too, so if we ever go to Sardinia again we'd definitely consider returning here without a doubt.

Myself and my mum have stayed ar this lovely family run hotel in first half of July 2016.
We have enjoyed every second of our holiday and will surely recommend the hotel to our friends and relatives and most probably will return here ourselves.
The hotel is located 10 minutes away from the airport by car and about 15 minutes away from Olbia town centre by bus. There are two bus stops right next to the hotel which makes access to the town very easy and convenient.
We have enjoyed our comfortable size room with huge terrace and views of the mountain and partial sea view.
The hotel itself and the rooms have got a very original and authentic Italian décor. Beautiful garden with outdoor tables and seating options are perfect for relaxing and socialising any time of the day.
The owners are very friendly, cheerful and extremely helpful. They do truly love what they do and make every guest exceptionally welcome from the first second of the visit.
The selections of cold meat, pastries, cereals etc. for breakfast were perfect! As you step into the breakfast hall you are immediately greeted and offered freshly brewed coffee or a wide selection of teas.
There are over 7 restaurants short walk from the hotel, three of which are at the beach - very convenient and super pleasant!
Pittulongu beach ("La Playa") is by far the best beach in North Sardinia, very long stretch of white sand and crystal clear water! We have rented a car for a few days and have explored most of North Sarsinia, Pittulongu is one of the best places to stay and is a smart choice for a beach break but with the chance of getting to civilisation in evenings, if you wish to do so.
Also, we have been offered complimentary secure off street parking by the owners which was great!
Thank you hotel Abbaruja for our unforgettable summer break!

Room tip: Room number 1 is a comfortable size room with huge terrace
