The hotel itself is fine - the rooms are nice and clean but the kitchen facilities are minimal. The views are stunning and the pool is beautiful (if a little cold) BUT our peaceful, relaxing holiday was ruined by the incessant loud music played around the pool from 8am until midnight (I kid you not). The walls in the room were shaking at times it was so loud and if you were sat by the pool it was impossible to hold a conversation with the person sitting next to you. Despite asking approx 3 times a day for the volume to be turned down it soon crept back up again. Given the average age of the clientele in the hotel it seemed that the music was being played solely for the entertainment of the staff - calming background music would have been fine but banging Europop not so much so. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and therefore if you don't have a car you are pretty much a captive audience and the buffet dinner is ludicrously overpriced as a result. You have to take your own rubbish out of the room and the bins are not even situated in the hotel grounds. We booked onto a boat trip through the hotel staff, being assured it would not run if the weather was bad. Despite grey clouds and a forecast of rain however the trip did run and we were held captive on a boat during a thunderstorm whilst the boat crew ate a far superior meal to that which they had just served us. Oh, and its impossible to find. Took us nearly 2 hours and its only 15 minutes away from the airport. Not at all what we were expecting.
