The hotel was very good and the staff extremely helpful. Friendly manager! They kindly intervened when a taxi driver attempted to rip us off for the short drive from the airport. All of a sudden the meter was on 33euros! They later got us an honest cab driver for another destination. Very clean, quiet with a great breakfast - one of the very best on our trip. There is a good supermarket nearby. Central location!! Recommended with enthusiasm!

The location was very central ( turn left though as you exit - if you turn right its a very dodgy red light district) Can be noisy at night though. We had a superb suite on front, amazing ceiling height - air conditioning is fine poorly fitted windows meant sound proofing not great and though only three years old, cracked floor in shower. Breakfast a little spartan

Room Tip: worth going for suite - good base for a night or two to see Catania

This hotel is modern, centrally located, with friendly staff. The one explanation they never made was that their A/C is connected to the window and if your window is not shut, tightly, the A/C will not come on! Their computer, at the front desk, can tell you if your window is shown as "open," so check before you go to sleep, so you won't wake up hot and sweaty in the middle of the night because the A/C turned off!

If you want a relaxing holiday, with thoughtful caring staff then Romano House hotel is the place to stay. Clean, luxurious and spacious. This 4* hotel is a little gem, that I would like to share with you all.The breakfast was a good standard with many many choices, which was served by a immaculate dressed and pleasant staff, big thanks to Antonio who couldn't do enough for you. We felt welcome from the very start. The hotel is situated in the centre of Catania, with an abundance of restaurants, Bars and monuments all in walking distance. This hotel also offers a Free transfer service to and from the beach. You are also given free vouchers for the Sun loungers and umbrella. But if you don't want to go to the beach you can use there sister Hotel Romano Palace hotel pool and other fascilities for free.Roman House does not served lunch or dinner, only light Bar snacks. The staff was so helpful that they sent a member of staff to buy us 2 pizza's as we didn't want to go out for dinner. Nothing was too much for them. The entire staff who we came in contact with were amazing and helpful, which made our stay in Catania much more delighful

A beautiful and luxurious hotel close to the centre. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the suite on arrival, which was a fabulously large room with high baroque ceiling and beautifully renovated with a stylishly ecclectic mix of the baroque and the ultra modern - very impressive! All beautifully clean, with luxury linen and brown marble bathroom. We had such a good night's sleep - so comfortable! The breakfast was good and served in a pleasant breakfast room. The bar is pleasant and not over-priced. All the staff (reception/bar/breakfast) were friendly and overall we had a good stay here. The only minus as far as i can see is that whilst it sits on the edge of all the good things that Catania has to offer, it also sits on the edge of the 'red-light' area and dereliction, which felt very menacing and we turned around as quickly as possible. I did note that the other hotels i had looked at also seemed to have similar issues on the doorstep so I can only really say that this is a fantastic hotel, we would be pleased to stay here again, but do not make the mistake of turning right when you step out of the front door.

Value for money.it is not a luxury hotel but it is a very good town hotel.i found the breakfast very good. the rooms spacious, modern, and bathroom very nice. it is also in a good location. Only minus was that towels were fairly old and one of them had a large hole.
