“Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

Beautiful B&B (décor), so welcoming, friendly and helpful (thank-you Clara and Guiseppe & Rosa) from D.J & Rachael. I stumbled upon this place on the internet and am so glad that I did!

I have recommended Palazzo Cerami to many friends and colleagues already.

Room Tip: All rooms look beautiful so, I do not think you will be disappointed either way.

This place is really lovely. From the outside, you could be forgiven for thinking you had the wrong address. It's in a small, narrow, shabby one-way street about 15 minutes walk from the centre (Duomo). The building also looks pretty shabby. But once you're inside the B&B itself, it's a marvel. Superbly appointed rooms, lovely bathroom and fantastic shower. Pretty good value for monet, too. Two things prevented me from giving it top marks: the air-con was next to useless: pretty major issue in Sicily in June! And the three jams/preserves with breakfast were all off. These are small blemishes on an otherwise wonderful stay. Recommended.

We were made very welcome and found the room to be of a high standard. The breakfast had plenty of choices with something for everyone. I loved the fresh fruit salad.
All in all,a good place to stay in Catania.

From the moment we entered this B&B we realised it was run by people who are enthusiastic and caring. It is in an old building,(in a quiet location close to town and by steps where students from the nearby university like to sit), and although the old tiled floor has been retained it has very modern facilities. We were given water and espresso while the breakfast room and door keys were explained to us. Our room, one of six, was nicely decorated and had aircon,TV, a small balcony, two pillows each, and a kettle plus a small tablet with recharger and free wi-fi! We were charmed and impressed. For breakfast there was filter coffee but espresso or cappucino were also offered. The breakfast room is small (can only seat eight people) and opens at 8.30, the lack of a lift would cause problems for the less mobile guest, but what a lovely place!

Although for 2 nights only, my fiance and I absolutely loved our stay at Palazzo Cerami! It feels just as luxurious as the name suggests, very tastefully decorated and with the highest ceilings we have ever seen in a hotel room.

The location is very central, with all major attractions withing 15 minutes walk, as well as plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. We do recommend taking a taxi if you can the first time, as the streets are quite steep and can be confusing. Going back to the airport, there is a very convenient bus that will take you there, within about 10 min walking distance from the hotel.

The room itself was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, TV and even a tablet to get online. The bathrooms was large, with a power shower and hair drier. There was also a small Juliett balcony, with shutters, so you didn't get woken up by the sun in the morning.

The breakfast room was very nice and the breakfast was plentiful, both with both continental and cooked options. I especially loved the nice warm bread and the freshly squeezed blood orange juice. Not to mention all the fantastic pastries, but, hey, you're in Sicily!

Signora Clara, the owner, was very welcoming, friendly and had plenty of advice for places to eat and what to see. We went to the Polpetteria, a nice traditional restaurant about 20 minutes away from the hotel, near via Etnea the main street of Catania.

Overall, a really great stay, we would definitely recommend Palazzo Cerami and would stay there again if we ever came back to Catania.

Room Tip: Rooms closer to the main entrance tend to be a bit noisier in the morning, as people are having brea...

We are happy that you have liked the experience at Palazzo Cerami, not surprisingly we talk about experience because we try to live our B&B as an authentic and guenuine.

We believe that Catania is not only made up of churches, museums and markets, but in everyday life and that is breathed into the houses and palaces ....

Thank you,

Clara

dear Palazzo Cerami Team, first of all, thank you very much for the beautiful and relaxing stay in your "Palazzo". Such a palatial place with a hearty service is really rarely. Your slogan "Deluxe Bed & Breakfast" does exactly what it says on the tin. Stay the way you are and all the best. See you next time. Eva & Adrian

I travel most of the year and stay in more hotels than I like so when I saw I needed a place for one night in Catania I came across this new B&B and it gave Catania a whole new meaning. It is in a quiet historic part of the centre, more barock churches around that you thougt possible and just a stone's through from the busy main street Via Etnea. From the way I was received until I said goodbye I felt I was among old friends, a beautiful and spacey room, luxurious details and bathroom. I wish I could have stayed a week and will definitely come back. Must have stayed in more than 10 places in Catania and will look no further only hope that I can get a room when I need one next time! Thanks to both of you - you and your place deserves all the praise you are getting!
