“Nicely redesigned but overall very disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

The hotel is very well located, and globally well redesigned in a very modern style. But the global quality of the service is very disappointing. Nice room design but staff not very friendly, beds not soft enough, very bad quality products at breakfast, ugly pictures on the walls of the breakfast room.

Room Tip: Not on the road, it is terribly noisy especially on week ends when there is a pop orchestra at the b...

A hotel in a prime location as long as you go for a room at the rear (no view but so much quieter than the rooms at the front where traffic noise can be very disturbing). However, although what has been achieved in design is truly breath-taking it is let down by the service. Front desk was fine, rooms nice and clean, but the breakfast service was a real let-down with tables not cleared and basic stuff like bread having to be requested and then after a long wait dumped on the table with no apologies. Shame as the rest was fine.

The hotel itself is amazing: beautiful building in the heart of old Palermo, a stone's throw away from every must see in town, friendly staff, design furniture and bathroom.. I was welcomed with a relaxing massage in the hall, which was absolutely fantastic!I would give it a 5 star, if it weren't for two main reasons. It is noisy at the weekend (you are totally happy for the location at daytime, when you can reach any place of interest in a short time) but you hate it at night, when people and pubs/restaurants nearby can be really busy and turn your sleep into a mess. The other reason is that it has no parking lot or space. As for the rest nd except for this, I was satisfied.

While in a great location in old Palermo this hotel needs better soundproofing. If your room is on the street on a Saturday night make sure you have earplugs. There was blaring music until 1 AM and then lots and lots of street noise until 4 AM. Also the hotel in general seems like it could use some tender loving care. The breakfast was very mediocre and the hotel seems in a bit of disrepair. The front desk was very helpful with dinner reservations and other suggestions.

Room Tip: Do not get a street side room.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Palermo. VERY VERY clean and the staff is wonderful. Giorgia was always willing to assist at the front desk with recommendations and she provided me with a wonderful suggestion for a nearby restaurant. Massimo was also fantastic and made wonderful drinks, or appertivos, every evening.

The only downside is the Internet. One hour free, every 24 hours, per device, becomes a bit of a cluster and rather annoying. Simply offer Internet 'e basta.' This was hard to keep track of between my phone, iPad and laptop.

This hotel disappoints. There is no parking. The rooms are good enough. The staff is small, and the front desk people were helpful and efficient, but the great problem in this hotel is that it is extremely noisy at night. It is very near some bars that stay open until very late, and the windows are not soundproof. It is like the party is in your room, which is fine if this is what you want, but makes it impossible to sleep if you don't.

Cant request much more, really a shining start in the trip.

Pros.
- Excellent excellent excellent service!, you could really fell like the stuff truly care about you and wants you to have the best trip! Every question was answered any request was fulfilled a big thanks to Marco (hope I remember his name).
- Location location location like said in all the other reviews perfect!.
- Perfect rooms clean like it should.
- Fine breakfast

Can't really mark any cons some said about the Pubs found near by the hotel and that’s true expect noises until 1-2 AM high floor room should solve the problem personally I loved that I had pubs so close by but that’s me. If the hotel will replace the windows to sound proof windows it would completely solve the issue.
