“Fantastic location”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

PaleontologWe had a junior suite for our three night stay and it was roomy and nicely fitted. The breakfast included was great with the staff helpful and friendly.

We found the concierge staff unhelpful and difficult. This was in contrast to our other experiences. We asked for a couple of times for simple assistance which either did not occur or was given grudgingly. Also wifi is stated as being included yet this is only one hour a day for one device.

Palermo was one of our favourite places in siciliana and the hotel is in a fantastic part or the town. Across the road is an amazing St that closes every evening for Street eating and drinking. There are bars cafes ace restaurants in abundance in the area.

We were able to walk to most of the major sites and really immerse ourselves in the fun of palermo and it's people.

Good location, really easy walking distance from many of Palermo's attractions. Clean room, separate dressing area, comfortable bed, spacious, marble lined bathroom. The main areas are a bit charmless as it is an old building which looks like many of the original features have been removed which is a bit of a shame it looks a bit generic and bland. Helpful staff. Bit noisy but it is in the city centre

Receptionist very unfriendly bordering on rude. Great location. Cheap and nasty breakfast and some of the rooms are very noisy from the bar downstairs til 2am !
Otherwise room was good and bed comfortable. "Free wifi" only lasts for 1 hour per day which is frustrating and out dated !

Stayed there for 3 nights. The hotel looks quite new although it is not a new building. In the first night we've stayed in a room in the from of the building and then asked to change to a back room since the front rooms are very noisy, specially during the weekends. Back rooms are silent. On the plus side, I would have to say, comfortable beds, location and the almost new feeling you get, which it is not very common in Italy. On the down side, pretty much everything else. (1) The room is very small. You can not fit two open suitcase at the same time in the room.(2)The soap and bath gel dispensers are so difficult to use, I've almost had a tendinitis just for the effort of trying to squeeze it. Also they leave your skin so dry, that I strongly recommend you bring your own amenities.(3) breakfast is very poor with little diversity and quantity.
Although not a very good hotel, It is quite good for Italian standards...

Only a very brief stay overnight in transit elsewhere but found the hotel clean and comfortable. Great location, room was more than satisfactory, and the staff were helpful when I really needed assistance. What more can you ask?

I strongly recommend against staying in this hotel. After experiencing concierges in Italy who consistently were helpful, welcoming and friendly, this hotel was the antithesis. It was not just one concierge, but all of them proved to be unhelpful and attitudinous. I asked one of them to confirm my plane reservation because I was not successful online and she initially refused to do so. When I told her that most concierges help guest with this, she passively aggressively indicated she would help, but never did so. That was just one example of the experiences I had at this hotel. I would not stay at this hotel again!

Room Tip: Find a better hotel with friendly concierges.

This hotel is modern and clean but also very easy and welcoming. The location is perfect for walking all the main areas in Palermo. Right by any number of restaurants, near shopping, attractions and the beach promenade and port. Good value and nice windows opening out on the street life, without being too noisy.
