“Nice fountain”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

Cerainly one of Palermo's interesting sites. It's a pity it's surrounded by a fence that disturbs the view.

“A bit of a surprise turning round a corner”
Reviewed 29 March 2014

A major fountain and statue ensemble in the middle of Palermo and worth a visit. Some or the statues look slightly 'garden centre' but an lovely location and well worth a visit.

The fountain of la Vergogna was the most beautiful attraction in Palermo. Full of history and enchantment.

“Great expectations falling short”
Reviewed 28 January 2014

We had heard and read a lot about the Fontana Pretoria but were not particularly impressed. The fountain is not well maintained and was festooned with pigeons. Though the numerous small fountains do work, sadly most statues have broken up in many places probably over time. Good place to see to tick off one of the must-see places in Palermo (one can enjoy delicious gelato enroute!)
