We travelled far to visit this site after reading many positive reviews here and elsewhere. When we arrived at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, it was closed with no evident reason why. There were no signs showing opening or closing hours. I would only visit if it was convenient.

This place, together with the other oratory (an the st domenico church) offer great quality art that should not be missed when you want to see baroque art.

We had some trouble finding this gem but it was so worthwhile. The sculptures are really fine. Bonus: few tourists.

So many glorious Serpotta putti there is scarcely wall space left, except for the huge Battle of Lepanto. A beautiful cool white space to escape the heat of the day. If it is shut, try knocking at the Sacristan's door; he may let you in (a donation should be given) - but not after 12.30pm.

Built at the end of XVII century this small gem had been decorated by Giacomo Serpotta with a remarkable plaster work quoted as his best work. Don't miss it!
