My husband and I were looking for a typical Sicilian seafood restaurant that Italians would go to, and we found this one. It's located a bit a of distance from the center of Palermo - if you don't have a car you have to take a bus (which doesn't always come on time) or a taxi which can cost between 14-16 euros from Piazza Politeama on the meter unless you work out a deal with the driver. But it is worth it. It is located off the northern pier, on the "Messina Marine" road east of central Palermo. The fish was so fresh and exquisitely and simply done, marinated in lemon juice, the pasta (with fish of course) was perfectly cooked, and the portions were just right - not too heavy. The co-owner, Mario, was very friendly and generous with his time in explaining everything and treated us to a little aperitif after the meal. Highly recommended!
