With many options for breakfast, clean and tidy rooms and charming staff this hotel ticks all the boxes for a moderately priced holiday. We booked direct with the hotel and saved money by doing so. The hotel is close to the station, where the airport buses stop and is convenient for all parts of the historical old town of Palermo.
I stayed here in 1999. It was called Albergo Piccadilly at the time. Good location in the heart of Palermo. Faces onto a busy street with plent of shops. I stayed durinmg the winter, when it felt mild. Good service, nice room. Ciao.
Excellent position, a short walk from the Central Rail Station, near to everything you'll want to visit by walking/public transport. The breakfast is very abundant. The staff friendly and very helpful. You can find the city map on the reception desk, or ask for one, they'll give it to you for free. Nothing spectacular in terms of decoration, but without any doubt great value for money. Don't expect too much of comfort - the room I had, was big enough, with very small balcony which is certainly useful for guests that like to smoke, but not the room in which I could spend much time. On the other hand, Palermo is such a lovely city that won't let you to stay in the room...
If I ever visit Palermo again, I won't hesitate to book Hotel del Centro.
This hotel is ok, it's handy because its less than a 10 minute walk from the railway station.
The staff are friendly and very helpful.
However, the room was dusty, and clearly hasn't been cleaned properly for at least a couple of weeks.
The pillows inside the pillow cases had also turned yellow.
The bathroom was ok, again, not that clean. The shower was very good, except is was a bit too small.
We had room 19, which faces the main road, so unfortunately is noisy from the traffic.
The breakfast was very nice in the mornings, and serves until 10am.
Nice hotel in a very central location near Palermo central railway station.
Excellent service: exceptionally attentive, warm and friendly.
Our room was very large, clean and quiet.
A few minor negative points (what a shame!): the bathroom was a little bit too small (toilet bowl too close to basin) and had no shelf; we noticed a couple of small maintenance issues (for instance: there was a bit of mold on the bathroom ceiling; the bathroom door needed a new coat of paint).
All in all, you get good value for money.
