This is my second stay at Politeama Palace. The hotel has been renovated, both main floor and guest rooms and is very nice. The staff was SO nice to me - nothing was too much trouble and many of them went out of their way to be helpful. Good breakfast, quiet rooms, lots of space. My room had a balcony/terrace.

Perfectly well located, in the center of Palermo, easy to take the bus for going everywhere...

Good hotel with good prestations. It was quiet, no problem with AC.

A special good mention to LUIGI at the breakfast !!!

Hotel Politeama Palace is centrally located within the impressive Piazza Politeama. Everything is conveniently available, including wonderful shops and restaurants and theaters. The hotel staff is very eager to please and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable. The TV provided in the room has a wonderful selection of programs in a diverse selection of languages. Right outside the door of the hotel are wonderful transportation alternatives, including a bus to the airport.

Room Tip: The rooms in the back of the hotel are more quiet.

Air conditioner leaked and created a puddle in the room. It then stopped working at 5 am and we woke up in a puddle of sweat. It would have been nice to sleep later, but the room was terribly hot. Plaster was coming off walls. No discount was given even after asking them to take care of these problems. The female staff working at the desk were nice and the bed was comfortable, so those were positives. On the other hand, the building seemed to be in a poor state of repair. We had plaster coming off the walls in our room and outside there was a lot of stucco that was coming off the building. It's centrally located, but pricey for what they offer.

As flight crew we stayed only for one night at the Politeama Palace Hotel, but I think the word "Palace" is an overstatement. Maybe is used to be a Palace about 30 years ago, but to me everything in the hotel was outdated, up to and including the lobby and elevators. All worked, but I did not expect an outdated hotel like this in the centre of Palermo. The most modern part of furniture in my room was the refrigerator, which was standing in a corner of the room. The view on the square in front of the hotel is nice, and the beds were OK. Breakfast was very simple and an omelette was made on request free of charge.

The location is excellent, but this hotel is not up to todays standards, especially for a 4 star hotel.

I have been there for 5 nights, the hotel is clean, silent and very well located in the center. For a 4 stars hotel I was expecting a newer structure and a richer breakfast. However the personnel is very kind and the price fair.

This hotel does not have the most recent fashions in its decor, although the reception area has a funky mixture of comfy ultramodern and classical furniture. Front desk staff were very helpful and welcoming. We were upgraded to a large room on a high level with a small balcony and wonderful view of the square. Room was large, a little dark but comfy, with a bar-fridge, okay bathroom, good toiletries. Aircon was okay, but we were there in late May before the real heat starts. We did not notice any noise from the square but we had window closed at night. Breakfast was a very good buffet, mostly cold foods but with everything you would expect in plentiful supply. Good coffee, with espresso on request. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Palermo, close to lots of places to eat and wander at night. I would stay here again, definitely. We got a good deal on the internet, cheaper than our travel agent could get.
