“Smart, clean, large rooms, excellent location”
Reviewed 13 July 2013

Fine furniture, large beds, very clean and large rooms and bathrooms. Kitchen available (but who would use that in Palermo, being surrounded by tens of great places to eat?!). WiFi almost perfect in the rooms, with some weak corners, modern and perfectly working TV set (I already had even two in some suites). Rich breakfast (by Italian standards).

And the location itself is very good, in a small quiet street right in the city centre, ideal for business purposes and also for tourist.

We booked in February and arranged for the hotel to pick us up from airport. That was fine and Nadia was there to greet us at the hotel. We were given keys to our suites which were spacious and clean. There were three of us my granddaughter & myself and a female friend. The only gripe I have is that we asked for our suites to be close together but they weren't. The breakfasts were adequate but bring your own teabags if you want a decent cup.A bit cramped in breakfast room but managed to get a table every day. Would be nice to have a bar there for a drink in the evening but not that importtant. Staff helpful and friendly. Central location. Please use red tour buses found in Paliteamo sq. Excellent hop on hop off and cover all major sites and places of interest. Theatre Massimo is awe inspiring. We stayed for a week. Restaurants okay particulaly Cafe Kliko in Via Roma and especially Pizzeria Duchesse two streets away. We ate there most days. . Traffic a nightmare, crossing the road an adventure in itself. Shopping Fab. All in all a great holiday.

Room Tip: Ask for front of hotel rooms. We had back rooms. Residential flats across the way in very close prox...

We stayed six nights and wanted more than a room with a bathroom. This suited very well and unlike other reviewers, we found there was adequate crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils for a reasonable stay. As a bedsit, it was quite spacious and included a setee and small dining table with space for four. Silvia was a delightful receptionist, waiting up for us when we arrived later than expected and making us fell really welcome. Wifi was adequate in strength for Skype, but worked netter with video turned off. Central location was excellent and instructions on finding it good. Also, it was well marked by a street sign and at the door.

This was just a one-nighter for me on the way to Messina.
The hotel was a bit tricky to find and I had to resort to the GPS on my phone.
I had a large room on the first floor, more like a suite. As others have noted, it's fine to have a kitchenette but not if there is no crockery, cutlery, kettle, pots etc.
The room was also quite dark as you couldn't open the windows fully to open the shutters.
They seem also to be concerned about crime as you needed three keys to get into the place (including your room-key).
Nice little trattoria across the street which I have reviewed separately

We booked a suite to be able to make a cup of tea using the kitchenette - no crockery, cutlery or pan/kettle. Unfriendly/unhelpful Nadia receptionist/other one was lovely and smiley. Dirty city with no tourist info centres

This accommodation is serviced apartments rather than a traditional hotel and would have been great for a longer stay. the apartment had an enormous sitting room and large bedroom with plenty of wardrobe and storage space.
the only issue we had was checking in when the reception was unattended (generally after 2.00pm and all day sunday), however a couple of phone calls we were checked in within 10 minutes

We booked 3 rooms for 3 couples here in October. Rooms were clean and spacious. Location is fairly good and central to many city sites. We had a problem with our first room due to a lack of a stand up shower. Only a hand wand was available for kneeling in the cramped tub. Management allowed us to change rooms but we sensed that this was not convenient for her as evidenced from the subsequent coolness in our treatment. Breakfasts were very good. Common area ambience was comfortable but a little dark and cramped. There is no full time staff so this is really an apartment setup. Staff is there only in the mornings. Later check ins require some negotiation with management. Rooms have very limited street views to other buildings. Curtains are always drawn.

Room Tip: Avoid the barrier- free room without a proper shower
