We stayed here 4 nights. The owner was very friendly. The breakfast didn't have a huge selection of stuff but it was very nice and of good quality: it had cheeses brought from from special places, some very tasty pies, and even home made stuff some days, as well as yogurt, fruit, fresh made orange juice, and some more things. The room was very big and comfy.
The only negative points would be that the room was a bit cold sometimes, and the central heating system made it better but not perfect (there was a heater though, we didn't try it). In the weekend nights there was some noise coming from people from a nearby pub/disco, but the hotel is in the center so this is not so strange. However, we would still stay here again, since the location is great, the rooms are comfy, and the people are very nice.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Within a walled perimeter, which the Phoenicians built in the 4th century BC to mark out the nucleus of their city, in Via del Celso 14, not far from Quattro Canti and behind the Santa Ninfa dei Crociferi Church in an oasis of peace and quiet, you will find Nuvole Residenza. This boutique B+B can be found on the first and second floors of the Principe di San Vincenzo Palace. Next door are the ruins of the mighty walls of the Gran Cancelliere monastery, which was destroyed in the bombing raids of World War II. Now sumac and acacia spring up and, once upon a time, a large mulberry tree shaded the road. ... more less
