“Can't miss the "cassata destrutturata"”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

We found the restaurant through TA and it is one of the best meals we had during our vacation.
Located in the city center, Carizzi d'Amuri is managed by 3 brothers (the chef, the maitre and the waiter) and offers food of local tradition with a pinch of modern
Very nice setup and incredible food - would highly recommend it

“Modern & Delicious ”
Reviewed 6 June 2014 via mobile

Went here last night after seeing the reviews and was very happy with the meal. Surprisingly we were only customers there to eat, if this place was in the UK you'd have to book weeks in advance for a table. The food is modern in comparison to other restaurants in Palmero, and clearly has fine dining aspirations. The lay out and decor of the building fits a fine dining restaurant perfectly. The food was cooked very well with some interesting twists - mussels with red wine rather than white. I had the steak for main with was cooked perfectly and well complimented with prominent seasoning of rosemary & pink peppercorns. The price, although not as cheap as you can find in Palmero, is very good value & will seem very cheap to anyone used to fine dining prices in the UK. If you are in Palmero go to this restaurant!

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

We certainly were not disappointed by choosing this restaurant. The food and presentation were excellent. For starters my husband had an interesting platter of meat and cheese and I had mussels. Our main courses were pea size gnocchi coloured with squid ink and a fish soup (which was dry). The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere, the staff are very welcoming. It was quiet the evening that we dined here. I do hope that this restaurant is successful, they deserve to be.

“On the way up”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

We ate here on TA advice and were not disappointed. A contemporary and charming design tucked away north of Via Roma, but worth finding. My wife said the pork was the best meal of our week in Sicily. I enjoyed the fish. Our attentive waiter, one of the brothers, helped us with the menu explaining the dishes and we asked him to choose a wine which was excellent. Desert too. We've given the food 5* and at 60 euros we thought good value, though the service was a little slow I think that's because the brother are still getting it right, but we've no doubt this will be a very successful restaurant for a long time :o)

“Modern and fresh...”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

3 delightful brothers who have seen their dream become a reality.

Interesting decor…great contemporary tiles and even a push bike has pride of place !

Refined elegant menu..everything was delicious and accompanied by some lovely wines.

Not cheap for Palermo but good value.

Highly recommended especially if want something different from the run of the mill eating establishments that are so prolific !
