The best aspect is the wonderful roof terrace where there are spectacular views to be seen.
Unfortunately, the room had a window to an internal stairwell where there were works taking place. The room was dark and noisy.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a external window.

The Ambasciatori Hotel provided superb value, with a large, pleasant, balconied room with hardwood floors -- and excellent sound-proofing to keep out the sounds of "on the go" Palermo , Well appointed en-suite bathroom. Good security. The staff was helpful and friendly in a pleasant, low-key way. They went out of their way to assist us with parking and other needs during our stay. The location is perfect for experiencing Palermo -- on one of the main avenues just a few minutes walk from "Quatro Conti", the center of the old city, Good restaurants in the area. You could easily pay 3 times the cost and get less.

Room Tip: We did not make use of a hotel restaurant or pool. We paid for a room without breakfast and had a s...

Unless it is dark, don't take a cab . . . we paid E10.00 to go 3 blocks! This is an easy walk from the train station, and a very nice hotel. Lots of old world charm (without the old world grime) - clean and comfortable. The breakfast upstairs in the rooftop solarium is to die for. Can't get enough of those fresh squeezed blood oranges, plus delectable pastries and strong dark capuccino. All for about 75 DOLLARS (off-season) - can't beat the value!

The Ambasciatori is conveniently located, only about a 5-minute walk from Palermo Centrale, an important train station (the square outside also serves as a central hub for various bus routes, including the AST to Monreale); in the other direction, it is a short walk (anywhere between 5 and 45 minutes) from several of Palermo's important tourist attractions, such as the San Domenico church and oratory (~5-7 minutes); La Martorana (~15 minutes); and Palatine Chapel (~35-45 minutes -- this is served by a bus as well). The rooms are nice, clean, and spacious, and although breakfast was less than inspiring, the view -- of Il Gesu's dome -- is not bad as consolation. The staff was quite helpful as well. All in all, my wife and I found it a bit generic, but certainly convenient; we had no regrets!

Really enjoyed our stay in Palermo, the hotel was very easy to find from the bus station, its location is amazing. The staff could not be more helpful, answering our many questions, and recommending some great restaurants. Loved the roof terrace! (Although we did not have breakfast at the hotel, we did spend time on the terrace drinking coffees and eating cannoli). The room was decorated tastefully, and was very clean. Could not fault it. When we return we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you.

The Ambasciatori Hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the Palermo Centrale train station. It was easy to find on Via Roma, and is in a great location to explore the older part of the city. The hotel was very quiet. Our room was clean and quite large. We loved the view from the rooftop terrace for breakfast. You can see so many churches and the mountains in the distance. You can also get a glass of wine and bring it up to the terrace at night, which is a really lovely experience. The staff was very kind, especially the woman who worked evenings on the fifth floor. This would be a great hotel for couples or a family, it is comfortable and close to restaurants and attractions.
