Unlike many reviewers, I really like Palermo, with all its chaos, heat and mayhem. In this case, we were looking for a budget solution and were fine with the location, albeit the wrong side of the train station but fine nevertheless. Unfortunately, despite exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff, and a lovely breakfast buffet with fresh croissants, the room had maintenance issues which, in my mind, had been there for a while and should have been dealt with. No matter what you are paying - and it is reasonable - there is no excuse for a leaky shower (causing bathroom to flood), a faulty flush on toilet, a handle falling off the window shutter, no wifi on second floor and intermittent coverage in general, in addition to continuous scrambling on the digital satellite TV - couldn't get one station to work! Room itself is a good size, spottlessly clean with basic B&B type characteristics. I did report the problems to the management but feel an English review might help hasten a response for other travellers. If these issues are fixed, this is a reasonable budget option for exploring this incredible city.

Spotlessly clean, spacious rooms with extremely helpful, informative manager who pointed out all the main places of interest on city map as soon as we arrived. Straight forward to find but a bit of a hike on foot with cases from the station. Good breakfast and reasonable location for acccessing all that Palermo has to offer. Would not heistate in recommending this hotel.

For a very reasonable price you should expect a friendly staff welcoming you, of whom everyone spoke adequate level of English. Rooms are very good sized, immaculate, with a small mini bar , telly, wardrobe and a separate bathroom. One night there was a lot of noise from the street and gave me a hard to time have a good nights rest, but given that I'm not a very good sleeper it might not be a bother for most others. Decent food and the always amazing Italian coffee you should expect in the morning from 7-10am included in the room price. Some us needed to leave early in the morning and the staff was very flexible and provided food 5 in the morning for the early leavers. Good location, 5-10 mins from the central station and amenities, although for some the actual neighbourhood might look a bit dodgy. Might not be the cleanest and wealthy part of town but there's nothing wrong about it, in fact I'd consider it very positive to see a more realistic, non-touristic side of Palermo. Generally very satisfied, very good value for money.

The hostel itself is really good. All members of the staff we met were very helpful, they could talk in English(!), loved that I tried to use my little Italian knowledge. Rooms were comfortable, sizes are convenient, bathrooms are super clean, well equipped. And the breakfast is just great, so many different things to eat. Actually you can see that the whole building, rooms, everything has been renovated not a long time ago.
Location is great, very close to the main railway station, but a little bit scary, with full of foreigners (not tourists). As a girls alone, I would not be happy to stay here, but with a group no problem at all.

We had two nights here, the place was great: the stuff are extremely friendly and helpful (they serviced breakfast for us, even when we leave the hotel around 5am). Clean and full equipped bathrooms (including hair dryer as well) and very good location: the central railway station just 5 minutes walk from the place.

The area where the hotel located can be scary at first look, but don't be afraid: this is much more authentic than dangerous.

Stayed here for a total of three nights and had a great time. The rooms are nice (some are more spacious than others) and comfy. There is a tv in each room, and it was fun watching Men In Black dubbed in Italian! The staff is simply amazing; so friendly, warm, helpful, certainly among the best out there. The women in the morning make several types of cake for breakfast (orange, pound, chocolate, apple) and you will be tempted to go back for more! Breakfast also includes freshly-squeezed orange juice, yogurt, cornflakes and milk upon request, cornetti, bread rolls, and a great assortment of fresh fruit (bananas, oranges, kiwis, apples, etc.). The B&B is in a residential part of Palermo, a ten-minute walk from the train station, and relatively easy to find as long as you have a map to orient you in the right direction. The walk to the B&B is along a main street, so even when I was alone in the evening walking back to the B&B it was okay... you have to be aware, but there are always other people around who can help if there's any trouble.
I would definitely stay here again, and I can't recommend the staff highly enough; they are all superb.

We reached the hotel by walking some 300m from the central station. The hotel is very close to the center of the city and it is easy to get to the station (by walking) or to the harbor (by bus).
The hotel was fine: clean, with nice rooms and _very_ good breakfast, including freshly made cakes and juices. The staff was kind.
All this at the very reasonable price of 60E per night, for a double room.
Very recommended.
