Owner description: The ruins of the Temple of Apollo (7th-6th century BC) won't give you the whole picture; you should visit the archaeological museum in Syracuse to find out what the entire structure looked like.

“staged for the Greek drama event”
Reviewed 5 June 2013

Perhaps lost some of its evocative feeling with all the wooden seats in for the drama season but very enjoyable visit with cooling spring at the top of the site.
Saw Antigone there one eve - tickets quite pricey but atmospheric and not overlong - back in time for dinner.

“Very interesting”
Reviewed 30 May 2013

It's a nice place to visit it might be a very impressive temple! Visit it mostly during the morning so you can also enjoy the little market nearby with try some sicilian formaggi and caponata. Buy fresh fruits, pomodori, fresh herbs and spices.

“Ruins in city centre”
Reviewed 26 March 2013

You will pass by this interesting collection of ruins, many times if you walk the city frequently. There are many ruins. These are quite significant.

“The oldest temple.”
Reviewed 26 February 2013

The remains of a very old Greek temple in a nicely kept garden area. There isn't a lot to see but it does lend atmosphere and is adjacent to that lovely traditional food market.

Reviewed 11 January 2013
