We took a look around Ortygia last year trying to find pizza and struggled to not get caught up in the tourist traps on the island- then this year we were reading the reviews on TA looking for pizzerias and this one sounded great- well believe the reviews- its a top spot, the majority of diners are Italian, and the young staff running this new trendy spot are right on with their recommendations. Two types of pizza- traditional round thin base, and also by the metre (thicker base), with options on more than one topping choice. There are salumi options for starters, great artisanal beers, and nice bottles of wine too. We were impressed and will be back again before we leave it was fun. Its just off the main road onto the island- Via Malta turn off to reach Via Cairoli and park, or walk from the island a couple of blocks. Parking is tricky around the area so be resourceful.
