“Family friendly place”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

My partner and I stayed in Limoneto for two nights at the beginning of August with our active two year old daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was very comfortable and air conditioned which really helped in a hot Sicilian August. The pool, the gardens and swings made it a great holiday for our daughter. Dora and the rest of her family were very accommodating and made a real impression on our daughter who still continues to speak about Dora despite being back from our holidays over a week now. We thought the evening meals were great and provided a good sample of Sicilian food. We have already recommended Limoneto to our friends.

Thanks again Dora

We arrived the 14th august at one pm and received a cold welcome without any possibility to buy something to eat there and the most tiny room on earth with very hard beds. :(( breakfast is very poor for an agriturismo. Just sweet food choice. No cheese or ham ...

Dear people ,

I'm sorry but the room you were given was booked by your travel agent and it was not our choice.
It seems that nobody has ever complained about the size of the rooms or their cleaneness.
As for breakfast , we serve an enriched continental breakfast . i have listed more than once what we serve .

We were a family group of 8 with 3 rooms and 4 teenagers. We found Limoneto to be clean, comfortable, and the rooms fairly large. There is a lovely swimming pool which we enjoyed flopping in and out of.

The food on the first night was excellent. They came and asked us if we would be in for dinner. The breakfast is rather feeble, and I feel they let themselves down here.

On the last day we needed to check out late and they were very accommodating and gave us a room in which to shower, change and stow our luggage. After going to the beach we needed to wash before catching our flight in the early evening.

The price was good value and I would recommend Lmoneto.

Set amid lemon groves, it is a very charming, warm and comfortable agriturismi. Dora and her family welcome you and will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, peaceful and clean, and there is a wonderful pool to swim in and relax near and, after a long day of touring, a welcome respite.

I would agree with others who were disappointed in the breakfast - it was a bit sparse. Dinner offered multi-course meals and, while good, was a notch below some of the other meals we experienced during our tour of Sicilia. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of our hosts and the opportunity that nightly dinners provided to meet other travelers. Don't miss the cannoli - they are among the best we've ever had!

Hello Dear Friends ,
thank you very much for your 5 stars review!
I couldn't be more pleased !
As for the food , we continue receiving pleasant words of appreciation for our great dinners , I 'm sorry you didn't totally enjoy it .
We do our best to leave our clients satisfied , but if this doesn't happen , I believe it is a matter of personal taste .
I myself am always a bit difficult when I go to the restaurant !
Said that , it will be a great pleasur for me and the entire staff to have you again here at Limoneto .
Ciao .

We came here after it was recommended by someone who had stayed here. The place presents very well is clean and tidy. However for what was to be an upmarket agriturismo experience, we were most unimpressed with the actual experience.
No TV in the room, limited WIFI where you had to sit outside the visitors room at night to get reception . The worst part of this experience was that we had booked dinner upon arrival for the second night of a 2 night stay. My wife and I were really looking forward to the experience of tasting the local cuisine. When we turned up for dinner nothing seemed to be happening so we asked what time would dinner be served only to be told that they forgot to organise anything and we would have to go back into town for dinner NO apology!

Finally the breakfast , the only way to describe it is unacceptable,no cappuccino -just warm coffee! The bead was not fresh with only a few packet biscuits and some juice. We had stayed in much cheaper agriturismo places ie 60€ V 86€ with much better breakfasts.
For the money you can do better elsewhere.

Hello Dear friends from Australia,
Yes, it's true , we got confused on the dates and we have begged your pardon for what happened .
We are people and , as everybody, can have a "défaillance "
But it is clear that your acceptance of our apologies did not come from your heart .
No apologies , we will forgive you

The peace and quiet of this family run agriturismo offer welcome respite from nearby cities of Siracuse and Noto. We enjoyed our large, comfortable room and slept soundly with windows open to the lemon orchards and birds. The friendly and leisurely atmosphere of Limoneto invites guests to relax, interact, swim, and simply enjoy the impeccably maintained grounds and gardens. Dora her brother Francesco, and her parents welcomed us with helpful information and personal attention. Our first night's dinner exceeded expectations: fabulous roasted peppers, grilled eggplant, white cheese, lean and tender salami, and olives -- all organic and local -- followed by delicious pasta with tiny pink beans, thin grilled veal cutlets served with fresh lemon, and finally a lovely bowl of fresh strawberries and the famous limoncello. Furthermore, we were delighted by personal service and spontaneous singing. Breakfasts were simple, just as we like: fruit, yogurt, breads and coffee latte. This is a gracious, lovely place. My husband wants to return for a week. Me, too! Although it was a little too chilly for us to swim, the Swedes enjoyed the fabulous pool everyday...

Room Tip: We loved our large room with fabulous bed, solid furnishings and loft. The door opens onto a spacio...

We arrived at Limoneto late one night with the big problem of a forgotten driving licence and hence no hire car. Our 3 night stay became 6 nights as the couriers stretched "1-3 working days" to the limit. From the start Dora, Alceste, Adelina and Francesco couldn't have been more helpful, even to Dora hailing a bus for us (the last for two hours) when she found us at the end of an afternoon in Siracusa. We did manage to use the buses that pass along the main road, and the friendly guest atmosphere resulted in the offer of a day out in Noto and Ragusa from an elderly French tourist travelling on his own. Since it was not high season, the family were able to be flexible for us with regard to how long we stayed.
More objectively, whilst this isn't a 5 star hotel, it does get 5 stars for the overall satisfaction of our stay; the rooms are clean and comfortable, the surroundings beautiful, all the staff very friendly and helpful, the food is good and the atmosphere created by Francesco in the Saturday night buffet-style meal was as warm as it was surprising. The area is fascinating and, with a car (!), Limoneto is conveniently positioned to visit all the attractive towns. And the jewellery that Dora makes is amazing!
