Highly recommended, sometimes crowded, we were amased how dull, plain and completely free from taste our orders came out. Our apertizers were OK even if overcharged. A caponata (which every restaurant in Taormina offers) and grated aubergines are not the most difficult to cook. As secondi we had veal with courchettes and cheese and baked lamb chops. The veal dish tasted absolutely nothing. Slices of veal in gravy with some cheese and fried courchettes. Accompanied by fried precooked potatoes. This may qualify as genuine but completelly without any touch, finess or taste. The lamb chops were a disaster. I am not a bucher myself but have eaten as well as cooked several lambchops but this was more similar to the residues of a car accident. We complained and were served another load of the same pile of bones without any meat (and taste). To me it looked more like lamb shoulder than lamb chops. Topped with same bland gravy as the veal and yes, accompanied by the same potatoes! Excuses were provided for the lamb "being from such a small one", but it was fully charged with € 19, which is much even for a secondi. All in all, this restaurant is completely overrated and out of touch.
