Let's start with the positive. The location is great and it's within easy walking distance of all you need in Taormina. The flat on the top floor has wonderful views of Etna, but the double bed was very small. The manager who barely looked up from his computer is less than helpful. Wifi didn't extend to the 2nd floor, and the Parking wasn't mentioned. The breakfast was the worst we had in Sicily, with pre packed stale buns-went to a local cafe round the corner. The time was rigid too with the shortest breakfast slot and earliest check out we experienced. We loved Taormina especially early in the morning and late afternoon onward when the crowds had gone

B&B in central position near the main street and the ancient theatre, nice and clean room. Breakfast was OK. Nice staff. I recommend this B&B. If you want to go to the beach, take the little bus in front of porta Messina.

this B@B was delightful, very accessible to all sites and many restaurants, quiet with a nice view (we were on the 3rd floor) and a large room. the place was clean and quiet with adequate a/c and/or heat. the breakfast was OK. we loved the view from the top floor with Mt. Etna in the distance but that suite was very expensive.

My husband and i recently got married in Taormina. For a few days before the wedding we stayed in Mamma Maria B+B. We received one of the warmest welcomes ever from Pina. We felt at home straight away. Vito was also very pleasant and friendly. We stayed in the suite on the top floor and the view from the balcony there is spectacular, a really special spot, could have sat there forever soaking in the view of the sea, Etna, the hills arounds us and the town. The room was spotless, thanks to the cleaning lady. The cream filled croissants were worth the trip alone! Loved the decor and Pina's bright photos of flowers on the walls. The location is perfect! Taormina is one of our most favourite places in the world and this B+B is a home from home, with some friendly pleasant people. Would highly recommend a stay here.

When I read that breakfast at Mamma Maria's was poor, and the web site a lie, I couldn't believe it was the same B&B where I stayed in May. A continental breakfast that included cereal and milk, yogurt, fresh fruit and juices, cappuccino or tea, biscuits, cheese, crackers. The owner, Pina, lives and works in Caltanissetta, but was there for 3 days with Mamma, filling in for her nephew Vito. Every morning Pina, went to the bakery for still-warm croissants, plain or filled with cream or marmalade. One morning she brought out fresh ricotta, another time a fresh fruit salad. Mamma, in her 90's, was quite gracious and sweet, simply observing in the lobby, practicing her limited English: "How are you? I'm fine, thank you. And you?" Antonella helps Vito when he's there, and makes sure that the B&B is spotless. As a finale to my 3-weeks in Italy and Sicily, I splurged on the top-floor apartment. I like to cook, and the kitchenette was worth the extra cost. More than once, Pina invited me to join her and some friends for a glass of wine and something to eat. How glad I was that she called my friends living in Taormina to help me communicate with them when my broken Italian and their non-English clashed. Countless times, I marveled at how close to heaven it felt just sitting on the terrace with a stunning vista of the blue sea and awesome Etna. That peaceful, sensuous memory is "where I go" when I need to unwind. I didn't see the other rooms, but heard guests commenting on how pleased and comfortable they felt. Pina's love of flowers and bright colors were everywhere in the decor and little treasures here and there. The apartment is pricey, but I know the other rooms are comparable and competitive with similar accommodations and amenities.
A short walk up a manageable incline takes you to the Corso. Don't miss the big, beautiful park just a couple of blocks away. For a ristorante, my choice is La Griglia--ask for Giorgio. On another note, If you have a car, ask at the Info Center for directions to Forza D'Agro and Il Padrino Ristorante (it means godfather) where parts of The Godfather were filmed.

we selected it in last minute as we hadn't had a reservation before arrived in Taormina. We shouldn't have.
The room was increadible small, the view was nothing (just a dirty rooftop) and the breakfast was also very poor.
The location is good on the other hand, just a few step to the main street.
What made me really angry that it was a big lie. Their website looks great, with giant balcony with view to the Etna, but it's not true. They have a rooftop "suit" which is also very small, and only that has the balcony so nobody else can use it.
The owner was very nice and helpful when we arrived, and suggested us a nice local trattoria: Il Baccanale where we recieve 10% discount. We tried it and again shouldn't have. No taste, no quantity, even did not provide the discount. Really the worst restaurant we've been during the 2 weeks roundtrip in Sicily. So altogether it was a big disappointment, as we expected much more!
