Villa Costanza Bellavista
Reviewed 31 July 2014

My wife and I stayed here at end of June for 12 nights.Stayed in Panoramic apartment Giada, great view from large balcony of Mount Etna and also Ionian sea towards Giardini Naxos.Enjoyed sitting out in morning and later in evening enjoying the view. Nice pool area never to busy, some days just the two of us at pool.Apartment rustic in nature but well equipped ,good aircon, needed as hot during day.Antonio and family very friendly would definitely recommend Villa Costanza Bellavista.

We stayed at apartment centrale 3 which is the run by the same people as this villa. Centrale 3 was right in the centre of town overlooking the Corso Umberto (main pedestrian street), and it had a nice little terrace balcony to do just that. It was a good apartment, spacious and even had a small extra bedroom if you need to fit a third person. The owners were very helpful, particularly Sarita and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the heart of town.

My Husband, myself, my 25 year daughter and my niece stayed here for a week last August. We would highly recommend this apartment. The view from the balcony of Mt Etna and the East coast of Sicily is stunning. The pool is really nice and there is always a sun lounger available. Antonio and his family are very helpful. The apartment is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants. If you like walking, you can take a stroll up to Castel Mola, it will take you about three quarters of an hour. At the top you can sit and have lunch, while taking in the fantastic views of the Sicily Coast. We have been using self catering apartments since our children were young and this is definitely the best. It was spotlessly clean and had everthing you could want in it. Many thanks Antonio for a wonderful holiday, say Hello to your friendly dad for me, he probably won't remember me :(

The views are amazing, the location is perfect and Antonio and family could have not been more accommodating. Being able to sit on the balcony & watch the glow of Etna at night made for a very special New Year break...

Travel with our seven month old is still new and a little scary. This apartment made it easy and delightful. It's fully equipped with a kitchen, air con and swimming pool. Close to town. A cot and high chair were provided. Getting around taormina with baby was easy but I'd suggest using a baby carrier and not a pram. Lots of steps! We were welcomed everywhere and it was a simply wonderful vacation.

We stayed in the Etna Curioso apartment for five days and were so sorry to leave. There was everything we needed. The views from our very large balcony were amazing; Etna, the sea, the surrounding hills and villages. My husband had to drag me away on our last morning.
Antonio and his family were very friendly and incredibly helpful. We were low on diesel and Antonio offered to let us follow him to the nearest garage and then offered to drive our car there instead and he showed us the best way to get to the autostrada to at the same time. We managed the narrow roads without incident but a small car is needed.
It is only five minutes walk to a supermarket with a good wine selection which was cheaper than anywhere else we saw. There were several restaurants only a minute or so further away and this did seem the quieter end of town.
It was a real bonus to have a pool as it was about 27C in early November and swiiming towards Etna in the background was the perfect end to the day.
As other people have said, the furniture is traditional but we liked it. This is a homely place to stay and incredible value for money. If we come back to Taormina I shall certainly stay here again.

We stayed in the Panorama Etna room overlooking the pool for 7 nights on our 4 week Italian holiday. We gave this property a 4 star rating simply because of the very good price, location, free parking and low price. However, if we were to just rate the apartment itself, we would rate it a 2. In fairness to the owners, we did visit at the end of the season and we understand there will be some wear and tear. However, we did not find the kitchen cleanliness up to standard; the slip covers on the old couch and chair were poorly fitted and actually worn out. The dishes and glasses were old and mismatched from obvious breakage. On a positive note, the bed and pillows were very good, the washroom adequate and the deck with a clothesline was very nice. There is a shared washing machine on site. With a little capital investment, this property would shine, but it is a bit tired at this point. If you are not concerned about the above issues and want location, price and parking, we would recommend it. The son and parents who run it are very nice and helpful as well. Quick facts; 6 minute walk to town down a hill and 64 stairs. Supermercado at the bottom of the stairs is good and has the best wine prices in town. Cafe on the next corner down the hill is excellent and lots of action. Fresh vegetable vendors and a fishmonger down the little alley just past the Supermercado door on your left.

Room Tip: The top floor Panorama rooms have the best view.
