Excellent location in the city center (in the hilly Taormina this is essential). Modern hotel with a traditional Sicilian look. The whole hotel is air conditioned, hygiene is at the very high level, we always had clean towels too. Safe box in the room with no extra fees. Mini refrigerator (very useful thing). WiFi in the room, only one device at time :( . Samsung widescreen TV with CATV (multilanguage channels, English, German, Russian, French, Italian ...). Our room has terrace with look on Corso Umerto which is pedestrian zone. Good sound insulation, no sound from the outside when we close terrace door. Very friendly and helpful staff. Mediterranean breakfast. Lift. Parking. Excellent value/maney ratio. If we ever again resided in Taormina that will be at hotel Victoria.

Room Tip: If you prefer to be in the center of events look for the room with terrace that look on Corso Umerto...

Pros:

Nice and helpful staff.
Bathroom in good shape & modern.
Free safe-box in the room.
Quiet room at the rear of the hotel, with AC, we used the heating system because it was cold outside. Elevator in the building.
Decent breakfast, nothing fancy.
Almost a 3* hotel, probably with 2* because of the poor common areas, lobby.

Cons:

Some personal staff don't know english, but you can survive.

All in all good value for the money.
Recommended in my opinion.

The thing I noticed about Taormina is that people here actually started paying attention to what their customers WANT - and NOT what they THINK is acceptable. Acceptable, you will agree, is not enough when you're on a well deserved vacation.

Long story short - they speak a foreign languages, they're forthcoming, the entire building is climatized, ask for a quiet room and you'll get it, ask for a room with a view and you'll get the street sounds as well (hint!), breakfast goes beyond jam & croissant and includes actual cheese, salame and milk, WiFi access is intermittent but manageable - and it's all centrally located in main pedestrian zone.

Nothing is perfect and neither are we but the morning I left, they received a Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor.

Over & out. :-)

Perfect location in the centre of the corso. Hotel was decorated in traditional style but with modern bathroom. Rooms were spotless. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was a typical continental. Would stay here again if back in Taormina.

Room Tip: Rooms to the frony may be noisey early in the morn as the corso is a busy street.

The best thing about this hotel was the location - it was perfectly located on the main street of Taormina close to some great restaurants and bars, a piazza or two with an amazing view of Mt Etna and the stunning Teatro Greco. The hotel staff were friendly and spoke good English, and often reminded us to leave room keys at reception. There was someone at reception 24hours a day which was useful because there are some very good bars and restaurants nearby! Otherwise the hotel was basic but comfortable. We only stayed for two nights but would happily have stayed for longer and enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the centre of town then this is the place for you.

We stayed here for two nights. It's wonderfully located, We stayed in room 123 facing Corso Umberto (the main street) and it got noisy at some parts of the night (drunk people walking down the streets). The reception staff (mainly males) were friendly, but they weren't very proactive. For example, we wanted to know if Mt Etna cables were open but they said they didn't know. I guess we had expectations that they may pick up the phone and ask for us. The breakfast staff (mainly females) were super efficient though. They got our coffees and teas really quickly and cleared the tables as soon as guests left. The breakfast was poor. Frozen bakeries and not very tasty condiments. The room was very large and clean, but bathroom a bit small but overall the place was good value for money and if we came back to Taormina we would probably stay here again. If you are looking to relax and stay in the hotel for most part of the day, probably get a nicer hotel (although more expensive). We travelled during most of the day so was only there to sleep. Also, the beds were too hard! We asked to change but the reception staff told us that it was the same in all the rooms. Parking was a bit of a pain too, but this is Taormina. We paid 12.50 euros for 24 hours in a carpark about 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

The hotel is ideally located on the main street of Taormina. This was very convenient as we could come and go in the hotel as we pleased. We had a wonderful, big room at the second floor with charming furniture; the bathroom was fully equipped, as a 3 star, not a 2 star hotel. The staff was really great and helpful. The central location is a little noisy, but this did not bother us. More TV channels should be provided, though. Overall, great hotel and great value for the money.
