What a lovely hotel! We thought this hotel was particularly good value. It is a two-star, but has everything you need. Our room was spacious, interesting with nice furniture, good bed (a little firmer than we would choose, but this is always better than too soft), with plenty of light. The room had a big wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps and a small table with two chairs. Everything was very clean. The bathroom was also good, with plenty of hot water for the shower. The location is great, right on the main street (Corso Umberto). We had a room at the front, which was a little noisy on the first night, before we had discovered the air conditioning because we kept the window open. After that, we kept the window closed and there was no problem. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was good, with plenty of choice - cereals, breads and pastries, ham and cheese, yoghurts and fresh fruit. There is a lift. All in all, we would highly recommend the Hotel Victoria and would definitely return.

To paraphrase the previous review 'forget about this place just being '2 stars', this is so much more deserving as it is a great place and a perfect location with friendly helpful staff.

The room was spacious and very clean with plenty of toiletries and a well thought out bathroom. Finding the right road to park our car at the rear of the hotel was a little fraught but we got there in the end and a friendly member of staff guided us in to the private courtyard. Next time I will read all the directions for where to park all the way through!

The building has great character and our room had lovely painted furniture and a little balcony overlooking a very pretty quiet garden at the rear of the building. The reception area faces directly onto the main shopping street at ground level, so everything is on your doorstep.

A little gem!

Forget about this place just being '2 stars'! It is wonderful and excellent value for the price, considering Taormina is the most expensive, touristy place in all of Sicily. The location is perfect, right on the main street, with very pleasant & helpful staff, from Salvo on the front desk, through to the ladies making coffees at breakfast time! There is also a decent lift in the building too. Our room was a pleasant surprise - very quiet,at the back of the building with a view of lemon trees over a garden. We had a large bedroom area and another roomy section which made everything very spacious and comfortable, with the sun pouring in during the day. A little balcony was handy for drying clothes etc. Great wifi (free) and good towels and plenty of hot water. A terrific little place!

We stayed here for 6 nights and the location is definitely a plus, right on the main street. We were a little concerned that it might be noisy in the night but actually the only time we were disturbed was by some inconsiderate guests in our hotel. We mentioned this to the hotel staff and they were very apologetic and explained that the guests had already left so that was fine. The hotel was spotlessly clean, our room was lovely and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very nice, especially the coffee which had been disappointing in some hotels. We asked for an Americano with hot milk in a separate jug - perfect! Taormina is a beautiful place but be aware that it is very touristy.

this hotel is located right in the center of the pedestrian street. Great location for walking and exploring the town. This is the second oldest hotel in Taormina and is owned by the third generation of the same family.
If you are driving, parking is down at the bottom of the hill in a parking garage and you have to take a shuttle up to the town, then walk maybe 2 or 3 blocks to hotel. No big deal...all went well and was easy.
Hotel has lift, nice clean rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful (for the most part).
we had to leave early in the morning so we paid with cash the night before. Guy at desk said he couldn't give us a receipt for payment, he was "too busy". We felt that was ridiculous but he wouldn't budge. (Couldn't find the time to put our name and one night's rate and "paid" on a piece of paper?) We feared in the morning there would be another guy at the desk and no record of our payment. But FEAR NOT!! Same guy was there, handed us our receipt and we were on our way.
Would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: our room had a small balcony overlooking the pedestrian street. Very charming and quiet.

I wouldnt ever go for a 2 star hotel but we left it late to book a hotel so had to look at other options. After reading the reviews on this hotel i was glad i did book it. Its excellent value for money in such a pricey spot liek Taormina. You literally can't get a better location, you walk straight out onto the main street with shops, restaurants, bars etc. Very handy and central. The hotel is spotlessly clean, better than some 5 star i've been too. Breakfast is adequate, it done us fine for the week we were there. The ladies that did the breakfast also did the cleaning - very happy friendly ladies. They are great at their jobs! The owner is also very friendly and helpful. We asked for a quiet room via email but the room was tiny so asked for a bigger one, which he gave us with not too more hassle. Rooms are various sizes, decor very Italian which is lovely, beds are comfy, shower stalls small but workable. It has everything you need.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, ask for it before you arrive as the rooms at the front of hotel face onto...

We recently enjoyed 4 nights at this cosy little hotel,in the busy heart of Corso Umberto. It was such a comfortable and friendly location - a bancomat a few steps away, the best gelato almost on the doorstep, and immediate access to every aspect of this lovely resort town. We had Room 122, a quiet attractive room at the back corner of the hotel with a small balcony overlooking a narrow alley, which was perfect to sit outside as well as to hang washing out to dry. The huge double bed moulded to our bodies and was to prove the most comfortable we had experienced during our 3 weeks in Sicily! We easily wheeled our bags to the bus terminus in about 12 minutes, downhill, and early in the morning (so no crowds) as well as using this terminus to join day tours to the Aeolinan Islands and a visit to Castelmola. The WiFi worked in our rooms, the breakfast is typically Italian and served by happy staff, while the front desk is most helpful with any information you may need. Overall great value for money accommodation!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter!
