We spent a week as two couples in the perfectly located Casa Ella in the centre of Taormina. We were greeted by the helpful Isabella and shown around the GORGEOUS townhouse and given advice about the surrounding area. The house was clean and had all necessary amenities. It was modern but had an authentic Sicilian feel to it - just idyllic. The rooftop terrace with barbecue was the perfect sun trap for days where we wanted to chill out and enjoy the sun whilst the location of the house lent itself to the local restaurants, bars and sights including the awe inspiring Greek amphitheatre and the dreamy Isola Bella. The bakery downstairs and little delicatessen were ideal and there's a mini market just around the corner.
The granite at Bam Bar directly opposite the townhouse is a must try! Cannot rate the location or the accommodation more highly - thank you for a perfect week :)
The location was perfect, just off the Corso Umberto and a few minutes walk to the Greek Theatre with a wonderful choice of restaurants within easy walking distance. The house was excellent, just what we wanted and breakfast on the roof terrace was a perfect start to the day. The local bakery was right next door along with a lovely delicatessen selling wonderful Sicilian products. We wouldn't hesitate to come back!
Casa Ella is set in a central location with restaurants bars & wonderful variety of shops. The house is perfect with everything you would need supplied. The roof terrace is a very relaxing addition were you can prepare a meal due to the cooking facilities. The lovely village of castelmolla is worth a trip on the local bus as is the beach club. A wonderful holiday destination highly recommended
This was our first time in Sicily and as soon as we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. The house is in a perfect location in the heart of Taormina on a not too busy street. The house itself is beautiful with modern and traditional features complimenting each other . The original patterned tiled floors and wrought iron staircase are amazing. We were a couple so had lots of space but the house can easily accommodate four - six people. Any noise from the street below cannot be heard from the upper floors and bedrooms it was surprisingly quiet. The rooftop terrace is a must you can relax and sunbathe in private and even play your music up there through the sound system that is installed throughout the house. There are plenty of shops to explore and to buy your basics like milk, bread and wine ! Try the deli right next door he will make up a baguette for you and even gave us some of his home made mustard to try at home ! Also check out Bam Bar for an ice cream breakfast . We ate out every night and found the prices to be the same as eating out at home. We liked Tiramissu and La Bottega di Lagana. We will definitely be returning to Casa Ella and be staying for longer next time.
