A little updating of rooms and baths would make this a "must stay" hotel. Nice restaurant and pool. Beautiful bay views and views of Mount Etna.

The Hotel furniture need a refreshing . The service around the pool is insufficient.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in July. The hotel is in a wonderful spot with beautiful views and takes about 10 minutes to walk to the centre. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were very good as was the food in the restaurant which had a wide choice of dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend Taormina as a fantastic place to visit.

We visit the hotel for vacation since 2007! Do we need to say more? First, the staff is lovely, giving you hospitality and kindness. They are polite full, gratefully and show you respect! Special thanks to Angela she is very lovely! They are all very professional.
Once I forgot my wallet, passport and mobile phone in the restaurant. After one hour I discovered my lost. Running back to the restaurant, the waiter just brought my things to me, as he was waiting for me. Many thanks to that fellow!
The hotel itself is very elegant, clean and cared. The restaurant “atmosphere” and food are very nice! The view is really the most beautifully you ever could see! We are very happy to return in August 2011!

This hotel is in a beautiful location with wonderful views of Etna and the bay. The hotel is run very well run with all areas looking pristine day and night. Our room was a very good size with a lovely bathroom and we had good views of the sea and the beautiful gardens. We had booked to receive half-board and this can sometimes be a bit hit and miss. Not here. The menu for half boarders changed every day and was extensive as well as being delicious with wonderful salads and beautifully cooked Italian dishes. There was also an ala carte menu with good quality dishes like smoked salmon, sea bass and good steaks. After a very enjoyable evening drink served with generous amounts of olives, nuts etc on the terrace we looked forward to going in to the dining room. The waiting staff and restaurant management staff are excelent. In 14 days we did not have a complaint about any meal and did not observe any other complaints. The views from the upper level of the restaurant are spectacular. The pool area is very well kept with comfortable beds and a good pool side cafe serving very nice salads and sandwiches made to order. The pool is large and particularly good for swimming. Again there are great views. You could witness the professionalism of this hotel by the way they prepared for the Italian weddings that took place while we were there and the fact that they did not inconvenience the usual hotel guests. One wedding arranged around the pool was particularly impressive but by 6am the following morning it was cleared away and being used by hotel guests as normal. We would certainly return to this hotel..

Room Tip: Garden views are just as beautiful as sea views.

At first it was great to return again to beautiful Taormina. The opening evening 11. June ,from the filmfestival at the greek theater was superb. The Hotel is very nice, friendly helpful staff, we had no problems at all maybe bc i speak italian. We see that most problems are bc of the missunderstandig. And off course if you are nice to the staff they will treat you also nice and respectful.Internet is not free what a pitty .The choice of the food is okay but very little vegetables or salads are offered. We had halfboard and we suggest to anybody only to take breakfast in any hotel in Taormina, bc they are so many nice places to discover and to go to eat and all not far from eachother. In the restaurant the best persons are Angela and Nino.If you have a room with only small balcony go up to the 3 floor there is a huge wonderful terrace with a great view and almost of the time you are alone there. The Pool is very nice, some reviewers say its hard to get to it bc it has almost 60 stairs going down, all Taormina go up and down and lots of stairs so for persons which have problem with walking its generaly not recomanded. The main street corso umberto is sometimes very crowded but you can go behind it and discover many nice little streets and places.Diodoro is away from the center and very quiete place away from all the hustle and buzzle, but not far from bus terminal or the center.Dont miss to go to Castelmola, the amazing village above Taormina, you can walk up, its hard but worth it or there are buses going every hour up and down.If you go to Castelmola and want to eat real sicilian food or just stop for a drink or coffee with a very nice family, visit the restaurant da Pippo, it has a beautiful terace with great view to Mount Aetna. The location is a little bit old but you get the real hospitaly from this family. Discover all the beautiful places on this earth created from our God and appreciate it + take care about the enviremont. R. + M. El Waziry Switzerland

We had a really enjoyable four night stay and a bonus was that Mt Etna erupted the night we arrived. There are only just enough car parking spaces available. The coffee in the restaurant at breakfast was horrible!
