“Try the pasta!”
Reviewed 8 July 2014 via mobile

We had the seafood pastas and we loved it. The dessert - semifreddo pistachio was good too.

The price is very good in this setting and the quality of the food. The two pastas we had were at 14e and 11e.

Staff are friendly and service is good.

Tip: go early or reserve a table. It's full at 8:30pm tonight.

Thank Hofami

“Excellent service and very good food away from the crowd.”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

This small trattoria is located in an area away from the crowds that invade Taormina during the weekend. There are a few other restaurants in the area worth trying, but the service here was absolutely outstanding and the food was really good. For those looking for something new, give a go to their Tuna with chocolate and sweet onions - a bit difficult at first taste but really good indeed. Portions were generous as well, as you'd expect from a real trattoria, which is a welcome note considering that dining in Taormina is on average not economic.

“Authentic Sicilian hospitality”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

On arriving in Sicily,we asked our very friendly and informative taxi driver,Fabio, for advice on good ,authentic Sicilian restaurants in Taormina....What a wonderful experience this choice was! Our hosts gave us a table outside with a view over the cobbled street and upwards to the illuminated castle - this set the scene for two evenings of gastronomic delight and romance! We were welcomed on both evenings with complementary Prosecco and bruschetti and sincere Sicilian warmth. The food is fabulous, fresh and a feast for the eyes. The service from our very attentive waiter was fast, fun yet totally dignified and on each occasion we were entertained by street minstrels which added to our very special dinners.Davide and his wife (our hosts),even came out to bid us farewell at the end of their very busy evening,as though we were guests in their home,a lovely gesture. Our first visit has left us with very happy memories, thankyou so much and" Saluti" to Fabio!!

“Glod Sicilian food.”
Reviewed 2 July 2014 via mobile

Another small tratoria tucked away in a small side street by the cathederal.Limited small menu but what they do have is fresh. Paste is made on the premises, fish depends on what is available. All a very high standard. Friendly staff. Good local wine. A very nicce place to eat. Reasonable prices. Again it is proof that you can eat well and at a reasonable price in a very busy tourist town. Seek it out for good sicilian food.

“Pasta poetry”
Reviewed 1 July 2014 via mobile

If you ever visit Taormina do not miss this restaurant. Of the week days spent in Taormina pasta in this restaurant we were most impressed. Although we have seen a better location, with delicious food and fantastic service we were so happy that we came back for dinner twice again. I have not eaten better pasta anywhere, and at Don Ciccio we tried a lot of things and I do not know what was the best. Maybe the ravioli Don Ciccio .... pure poetry flavors.
