We must first thank Salvatore and his staff for making our holiday to Sicily a much enjoyed experience. The Hotel Villa Sirina is a stunning and picturesque building kept to an immaculate standard. More appealling to us as visitors, it was just off the main tourist track, which was ideal for a 2 week quiet retreat.

The Hotel Villa Sirina website descriptions are correct, breakfast on the terrace is a good way to start your day, or to have lunch or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening, whichever your choice there will always be a friendly member of staff on hand to tend your needs. The hotel is a family run business and as a guest it feels like you're welcomed into that in a typical friendly Sicilian way. The rooms are cool, airy and cleaned everyday, we were located on the midle floor which gave us a covered balcony with excellent sea views. Any advice needed regarding tours, restaurants or anything else holiday related can be gained from the front desk, nothing is too much trouble and it's this which makes this hotel stand out ahead of others.

Trip Advisor reviews normally cover a critisism of some sort. We are well seasoned travellers and on this occaision where the hotel is concerned our holiday was one of the best we have had. If we were to offer a tip to help you enjoy your holiday we would say, Sicilians are traditional and friendly people, show respect to the people and country and you will recieve the best of the Sicilian culture and hospitality on offer.

The Hotel Villa Sirina offers a fantastic location to stay during your holiday due to its traditional appearance and high standards, that said its really Salvatore and his staff that made our holiday special and we can't thank them enough. We will be returning to Sicily soon and our reservation will be with the Hotel Villa Sirina. Places like this are hard to find, its a genuine one off and we would highly recommend this hotel as an excellent choice during your holiday in Sicily.

For those interested in the area:

Giardini Naxos is only a 5 minute walk and will offer you access to some of the finest fish restaurants in the world. The Sicilians pride themselves on their food, wine and service and we're sure you will find this. It might be worth saying you will enjoy better value for money here rather than in Taormina. You should also explore Giardini Naxos there are some traditional shops with many wonderful trinkets and collectables.

Taormina is a treat not to miss, this is Sicily at its best with countless alley's for all to explore, dont be worried about being adventurous. The restaurants, bars and shops are some of the best you will find anywhere, that said, it doesnt come cheap and you should expect to pay for your indulgences. The Greek Ampitheatre is also worth a mention, the ampitheatre is a stunning used ruin and in addition to its own spectacular presence you will be amazed at the views this place offers. Try to book your holiday to coincide with one of the many concerts held there.

There are many excursions available, we ventured on the Etna Sunset Tour, a truely awe inspiring venture. You just cant comprehend the size, scope and power of this living mountain, truely an adventure of a lifetime.

As you can probably guess, we had a great time in Sicily, the Hotel Villa Sirina was a big part of that, a true gem.

Without a car we walked to the beaches and restaurants of nearby Giardini Naxos rather than Taormina which, although near as the crow flies, can only be reached by car. For trips into Taormina ( a busy tourist town ! ) the bus stops outside the hotel every couple of hours.
A trip to Etna is well worth the effort.
The hotel is staffed by people you would want to look after you, a drink by the pool, an Aria on the breakfast terrace, a welcome home, Bon Giorno from a busy day 'relaxing' on the beach in the beautiful heat of the Sicilian sun.
Understanding that it is the small details that matter is how Villa Sirina is run. It is lovely.
Try a walk into G Naxos, sample some Sicilian food and wine ( not the tourist trail stuff) and enjoy, we did.

I happily stumbled on this villa when I arrived in Taormina. I only intended to stay in Taormina a couple of days but, partially due to this hotel villa, I ended up staying about 5 days.
The villa was a relaxing, beautiful, and I felt well taking care of. Staying at this hotel was one of the best decisions of my 3 week trip to Italy. This is family run business the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and made me feel at home. The complimentary breakfast was the best I have ever seen. The hotel has great views, nice rooms, beautiful gardens, and a great pool. When I left I was fully relaxed…it was just what I needed at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this place.

We chose this hotel because of the parking and good reviews. We were not disappointed. The hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make it a wonderful stay. The free parking for this hotel makes it a good choice for those with a car. We had a great view over the Mediterranean from our room with a patio. The pool was lovely and a good full breakfast. Only 5min drive up to the Taormina town car park.

Great weeks stay and picked this Hotel because of Tripadisor ranking and we were not disappointed. Very friendly staff, lovely pool, view and great breakfast. Just 5 mins by car up to Taormina or a gentle strll down to Giardini Naxos which is a bit more authentic Italian. Hotel can arrange a free mini bus to take you to Mazzaro beach or it's a 5 min. drive to this and Isola Bella beach. Parking available at Mazzaro and Isola Bella just a couple of minutes walk away. This is also where the Funivia can take you up to Taormina. Siracusa well worth the 2 hour drive, Etna a must and the Alcantara Gorge worth a visit. Thanks Salvatore and his team for wonderful holiday.
