Beautiful hotel, great location. Staff was amazing, most importantly Sebastiano! He scheduled our tour of Mt. Etna for us. Breakfast is very good and located in the beautiful solarium and back terrace. The gardens are extensive and gorgeous. The rooms are clean and beautiful. I would love to go back! Please note it is a good 10-15 minute walk uphill to the main city of Taormina.

It's impossible not to give this hotel a good review just based on the spectacular views from the room (room 1 has 2 balconies). The other positives are the proximity to the city and all the good restaurants and the availability of parking. The room has a comfortable bed but is otherwise spartan. Hot water pressure was often a trickle. Staff was friendly enough and breakfast typical for the area with meat, cheese, bread but also cereal and egg dishes. Would I stay there again? Probably yes based solely on value and location.

On a road trip around Sicily it was essential to find a hotel with parking in the traffic and paeking nightmare that is Taormina. The Bel Soggiorno offered on site parking, which turned out to be on the entrance ramp and could be difficult. The hotel was obviously once quite grand but is now rather faded. Our accommodation was in a very private secluded "bungalow" within the well maintained and attractive gardens, which was very quiet, well equipped and featured a private and sunny patio, although without WiFi reception and in need of some minor attention. It was quite idyllic if you can manage the 107 steps up to reception. The hotel's location is ideal, being a fifteen minute stroll from a pleasant park and some excellent restaurants, with the centre of Taormina being a few metres further. A decent buffet breakfast is served, which can be taken on the patio with Etna as a backdrop. Not an amazing hotel but it retains some charm and is more than adequate.

Room tip: We enjoyed our garden room but the steps may be too much for some.

Stayed with my family (of 4) and had a very good time. Breakfast was simple but tasty, service was excellent. The views however were absolutely incredible. The rooms are a little basic but very comfortable and small but served our purpose. Walk up into town was 10mins max, but through the wonderful gardens.

Superb service and style. We stayed at this hotel in October 2016 expecting the weather to be hit and miss. It was lovely. The walk to town is steep but only 20 mins. The walk to castelmona is pretty tough but worth it. Taormina is lovely with many restaurants. The hotel was just so relaxing. A big part of that is the unflappable Sebastiano. Breakfast was lovely with great views out to sea or of Etna.

The perfect place for relaxation.
