We enjoyed the very friendly staff and cozy terrace. Good breakfast
A bit old-fashioned hotel (the bathrooms are in need of renovation), but strongly recommended!

We have stayed at the Condor Hotel for three nights. Taormina is an overpriced town so their prices were honest.
The room was very comfy, clean and tidy. There is air conditioning and heating. In the morning we could hear birds singing.
Some people might find the bathroom too small but it was ok for us. The shower was good enough, the towels were fine and there was a hairdryer.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Continental breakfast is alright. They also have a beautiful terrace which we could not enjoy due to bad weather.
The location is also good - a short walk (about 5 or 7 minutes) from city center.
We do recommend this hotel if you're going to Taormina on a short budget.

Best place we stayed at during our one-week trip all over Sicily, a small family-run hotel with a very kind staff. We arrived there early in the morning so our room was not ready yet, we asked whether we could have something to eat (breakfast on the day of arrival is not included in the price) and the owner offered us a complimentary breakfast. Our room was simple, nothing special but very clean and the most important thing: the hotel has a private parking lot close by where guests can leave their cars, which is very good, because finding parking spots in Taormina is not easy. Everyone was very helpful, assisted us with everything, answering questions, helping us print our plane tickets, etc.

Loved the Staff. Ilaria and Guisseppe were especially helpful and pleasant. Location was quiet and the view from our balcony with sea view room was a joy. This hotel would have been perfect if there had been an English speaking channel on the TV. Breakfast was plentiful, served on the terrace by an always smiling Tanya. Have stayed in 3 different hotels in Taormina but would definitely go back to the Hotel Condor. Thank you for enhancing our holiday experience.

Room Tip: Balcony/sea view definitely worth extra cost.

The Condor offers clean and comfortable rooms, in an easily accessible corner of the town- about 10 minutes stroll downhill into the centre. Our room was of adequate size, simply furnished & the bathroom was a little old fashioned but it did have a large shower and everything worked. The staff are helpful & friendly. Breakfast was a basic `continental´.
The hotel is built into the cliffside and has views to the north side of the penninsula from some rooms, the sun terrace and breakfast terrace. We did hear `noise´ from other guests but this was due to the buildings construction and not deliberate. There is a road below but at no time was the traffic volume intrusive.

We stayed in the apartment adjacent to the hotel. The apartment has one bathroom, a kitchen/lr combo with small table, and two bedrooms, one with full size bed, one with twin. We all agreed the beds were extremely comfortable as were the pillows, we prefer firm on both counts. The full bedroom was quieter that the twin, so light sleepers should choose the full.

As many have mentioned the generous breakfast served on the rooftop terrace made this an excellent value, as well as a wonderful way to start the day. The hotel is well located, and the restaurants that were recommended were excellent. No problems arranging a transfer to/from the airport both prior to our arrival and when we departed. Emails were answered promptly.

The family that runs the hotel were great, unobtrusive but helpful when needed. They helped us arrange an affordable car rental for several days. I am still amazed that we paid so little for such a lovely place, an outstanding value for the location, amenities and service.

For a comfortable, friendly, affordable stay, this is the place.

The Hotel Condor has the perfect location: 5 minutes walk from cable car and the busy old town, with all the restaurants and cafés, yet in a quiet side street and with fantastic views over the coastline. At night, enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the lights from Calabria in mainland Italy, shimmering over the Mediterranean, from the roof top terrace.

Breakfast is served outside, again with sea views, under cover, if needed. Breakfast includes fresh, local fruit daily, as well as generous helpings of breads, cakes, cereal and your choice of coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

The charming family running the hotel is going out of their way to help with customised tour bookings, restaurant suggestions (some with special deals), suggestions for walking tours/sights, and they book much cheaper airport transfers than the taxi rate (£100 taxi rate to/from Catania, hotel charges £70 for people carrier).

Our room (cheapest available), still had a sideways sea view, as well as fragrant orange trees growing outside - must admit we picked one, and it was most delicious!

Rooms are simply but adequately furnished, the beds a bit hard for our liking, but then we do like a soft bed. The cleanliness overall - even in the bathroom - was impressive; much better than I have ever seen anywhere else in Italy, even in very expensive hotels. Absolutely squeaky clean!

My 13 year old son appreciated the WiFi throughout the hotel.

Honestly, what more can you expect from a cheap 2 star hotel???
