Over Priced and staff are not friendly at all. This Hotel is full of Russian New Rich Mafia.. I wouldn't recommend this Hotel at all. Try the Sister Hotel beside it.

My husband, 2 year old son and I just returned home after traveling in Sicily and Rome. We stayed at 2 different hotels in Taormina for a total of nine days. Grand Hotel Atlantis Bay was our second stop on our trip in Sicily. Our first hotel was complete luxury! Beautiful, stunning and a lovely experience overall. We leave the first hotel to arrive at Grand Atlantis and are not impressed. Reading Trip Advisor there were mixed reviews, so going in I had to lower my expectations. Truly not a 5 star. 4 star maybe. Service ok, employees of hotel some very nice, and some didn't seem to interested. Not a warm feeling overall. Our room was so so. We had a corner room. Maybe a little more space in room and balcony, but i think they forgot about the bathroom. Tiny shower stall that looked like their handy man made. No tub. Nothing special! Hotel needs an overhaul, a complete renovation. Furnishings need to be updated and a higher quality if they intend to keep 5 star. Pool was dirty, Tiles falling off. Kids were collecting them. Awnings looked like they had been through many storms, very dirty and rundown.

Breakfast was nice and sitting on terrace overlooking bay was pretty. Could make very pretty and elegant with proper decorators. Public boat access next door doesn't help the setting. Very ugly.

After such a wonderful lovely experience from our first hotel, it was a complete let down! My husband and I wished we could have returned to our first hotel. They were booked 100%. Our first hotel had many families with kids. We became very friendly with another family from London and our son played with their daughter. Layout of our first hotel made it easier for children to access pool and beach. Atlantis didn't have many families or activities and not comfortable layout and no beach.

If you are looking for a 4 star and don't have high expectations then this might be for you..... Not for me for the prices they charge at the level they claim they are.

Room Tip: Don't get corner room if you desire a shower and tub..

The access to this impressive hotel is not easy if you approach it arriving from Catania. Yet it is definitely worthwhile to experience the extraordinary architecture of this stunning place. When being walked to our spacious room the first time, I had the impression we were walking through mysterious dens covered with shells - breathtaking! Each room has a large terrace and looks towards a pittoresque lagoon. The restaurant offers excellent food and the salt water pool area is very pretty. Every morning they serve fresh fruit for sun lovers. There is an outdoor gym which is located on the upper floor. You enjoy the most beautiful views while working out, however the machines are rather of an older generation and there are never enough towels available.
My favourite place is the timber flooring down at the beach. You can lay on your sunbed, watching the sunset over the sea and enjoy ice cold Sicilian white wine. The service is not 100%, but they are striving and you can see that it's the best they can do.

Room Tip: All rooms are facing the sea and have a terrace. Try to avoid a room nearby the gym. It might get lo...

Although it is a bit on the expensive side, Atlantis Bay is a fabulous and very charming hotel. The service was outstanding and the level of hospitality will make anyone feel at home.

We stayed in a double room that had an amazing patio looking out at the Mediterranean where we spent a large majority of our time. The only downside to the room was the bed, it was pretty firm, but I think that's pretty standard in Sicily. (We have stayed in some other places that had pretty hard beds also.) The pool and private beach were also great, very attentive pool attendants, comfortable lounge chairs and you can rent a jet ski or snorkel or take an excursion around the island if you wish. It is very close to the cable car that takes you up to Taormina and from there a cab ride to Castelmola.

The food is very good and service in the restaurant is amazing as well. And the breakfast buffet is top notch. Fresh pressed OJ (and you can add some champagne to that as well...) all sorts of breakfast pastries, eggs, bacon, cold cuts, cheese, granola...you name it, they got it. We woke up early just so we could eat there, and that's saying something.

We were so happy to stay here for a few days and would highly recommend staying at this very unique hotel!

They also sent me a bottle of champagne for my birthday. We didn't tell them what we were celebrating so I am assuming they looked at my passport and found out. Classy :)

Hotel is in a stunning location. The rooms are very pricey (€400 each room per night) and were nice but did not feel 5 star. we found only 1 member of staff who could speak any English, not what you expect from a 5 Star hotel. However the staff were most friendly and attentive.
There were weddings on 3 nights out of the 6, and the music often went on until 1am. The weddings are held outside by the pool/sea so if you have paid for a sea view, thats tough and noisy on you!
the prices were a rip-off. €20 for a gin and tonic, €7 for a bottle of local beer, €6 for soft drinks. If you wanted to use the hotel PC for internet they quoted €10 for 10 minutes!! Wi Fi on your own PC is €9 per day, no weekly rate or price break.

I booked a jumior suite with sea view for 5 nights, In short I payed the penalty and moved out to another hotel, that should be enough to descibe. The room was dirty, the toilet were gloomy and rusty. Every time a guest flushed a toilet you would hear it the walls. There was no staff to serve you, just one waiter by the pool for all the guests, we actually felt sorry for him running like crazy under the burning sun still you didn't get served. Weddings every night with music, breakfast mediocre at best.

The hotel was wonderful -- the rooms were delightful, the food superb and the views breathtaking! The hotel staff was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about Taormina and the island of Sicily. This was a most relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
