“Waste of time”

Save your energy and don't walk up that step staircase. Although the entrance fee is only €2.60, the poor exhibition is not even worth that price. Spend that energy at the Teatro Greco which is just 200 metres away from the Palazzo.

“Unexpected Surprises -- Ceramics, Material and Religious Culture”
Reviewed 23 May 2013

I enjoyed this visit. There are hand painted wooden placards depicting local and personal miracles and events occuring in the mid and late nineteenth century. Look at the showcases with handmade tapestries and needlework. Notice several examples of authentic needlepoint frames, spools, and tools.
For those interested in culinary and cooking history there are original 19th century ceramic molds for breads, pastries and other foods. For those interested in ceramics you will find mounted on the wall 18th-19th century items that look quite authentic. Don't look for explanations in English. But excercise your imagination and enjoy the museum for what it is worth. It beats the shops down below.

“INTERESTING”
Reviewed 6 January 2013

The place is nice to see but really there is not too much to see. Maintenance seems to be an issue here and that may be the problem. But it is nice to see the architecture and that, in itself, is worth the visit.

“This Palazzo Deserves Better”
Reviewed 5 June 2012

The impressions after visiting this palazzo and museum upstairs were mixed. There is a wealth of culture but why is the place being simply left to rot away? A big sprucing up is due. Come on members of Taormina Council. Just do something about this place. It deserves much better !!

“Not the most interesting we've been to”
Reviewed 6 July 2011

It's way overpriced for what there is to see. Seems like lots of different things all hudled in the same place. Would skip.
