We stayed at the Andromaco Palace in June and enjoyed our stay.
Our room was at the back with a view over the pool. It was a nice large room, spotless and with a nice shady terrace outside.
As mentioned in other reviews, breakfast was nothing to write home about but was no worse than at other small Italian hotels we have stayed at. If breakfast is a big deal for anyone then they'd probably be better off staying at a bigger (and more expensive ?) hotel.
There is no lift at the hotel so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with walking difficulties as there are quite a lot of stairs. It is also a bit of a walk (15 mins in the heat) to the town.
The pool area was very nice and a real suntrap. On the days we were there we were often the only guests round the pool.
The hotel was generally very quiet - there was just a bit of noise one night when some guests arrived late but other than that we slept well each night
All in all we found the hotel to be very comfortable and the staff friendly. Apart from breakfast we didn't eat in the hotel but it was a good base and within fairly easy reach of the town and cable car (for the beach) and the bus station if taking trips further afield.
Taormina is a lovely town and we would consider coming again and would certainly book at the Andromaco if we did

Room Tip: First floor at the back overlooking the pool are both quiet and have a nice terrace to step out onto from the room./

Hmmmm.......1 night only in Taormina with no air conditioning to speak of and a truly dreadful breakfast that was inedible.Yes the staff are friendly and we should have known better than to visit in august with temperatures in the high 30s but it was 165€ for a cramped family room that reeked of cigarettes and had ancient air con. I was truly expecting a better standard. If you are arriving by car prepare to get lost, the gps probably wont work and parking is really difficult we scraped the rear wings off our hire car trying to do a u turn in a very narrow road.I have to say that we didnt find the hotel to be 'spotless'. During the drought season all the windows are covered in a grimy patina but that doesn't however spoil the views which are excellent.

We have just returned from Sicily staying in the Andromaco Palace hotel.
Small and family run, rooms where spotless and the staff were very friendly.
in a hilly location, but then most of the resort is, but 10 minutes stroll took
you down to the main street in the resort.
Breakfast was basic, dried toast and biscuits, we didnt bother after the first
day , just had a late brunch instead
I ordered a glass of wine at the pool and this was came with nibbles and
petit sandwiches, a nice toach
would really recommend this hotel

We spent a week here over Easter. Although we initially couldn't find it, probably my navigation skills, it turned out to be a great stay. Clean with friendly staff. We didn't take breakfast so can't comment on that. My only gripe would be soundproofing, you can hear everything that is going on. Especially the ignorant family next door who seemed to spend the morning dragging chairs across the floor.

Me, my wife and two children (14 and 5 years) we stayed for three days in July this pleasant hotel. The accommodations are good and the balcony offers an unforgettable view. The pool (rare in hotels at this level) is a large gap, providing leisure and rest after walking around the city. But the best of this hotel are the people that the command and its employees. Ms Pietra, Laura and family are extremely friendly and kind. Santino, Nadia and all the staff were very friendly and always with a smile on his face met us in our most varied applications. All this hotel always attentive to our requests, the most varied. They have partnered with a wonderful beach bar (Playa Soleluna), with shuttle service and full leisure (up pool bar is). Those days were unforgettable and memorable. We intend to return. We submit to all!
