Good location with excellent views from our sea view room. The room we had was very spacious even for four people & the staff were always very helpful. We had a tour of etna & airport transfer with Rosario, he was very helpful at the hotel and gave us a very memorable last day in Sicily.

We stayed at Elios for 4 nights in Sept, it's a 5 minute walk from the bus stop in Taormina, an easy 5 minute walk to town, and 5 minutes to the steps to the beach. We had an excellent room on the 5th floor with a beautiful view of Mt Etna and the sea. Breakfast was good for a European breakfast! We went on a day excursion with Rosario from the hotel- great value for the excursion, and he was very informative along the way. Overall I would recommend this hotel, you can't beat the value, confidence and the location!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view- unforgettable views!

Brilliant location, wonderful views. All the staff were great, they made our stay most enjoyable. Rosario, Giovanna, and David could not do enough for us.
Their ideas, directions, support and Italian lessons were invaluable during our memorable holiday.

Room Tip: Rooms with sea and Etna views are the best.

Taormina is expensive like many tourists trap towns in Italy. Hotel Elios is cheaper than most hotels in Taormina but your are only getting pretty basic accommodation. We rented two rooms that were spacious and clean. One room had a small balcony with an incredible view. However, we did experience water pressure issues that affected toilet use. Our tv did not work but not really an issue given the view we had. Breakfast was mediocre but sufficient.
The good thing about this hotel is its location to town, the bus station and the beach. I found the additional parking charge a bit of an issue but space in this town is limited and a cost is to be expected if it is private parking. Paying for space on the street with make shift parking signs appears like a cash grab.
The staff were helpful and kind but I expect that in the hospitality industry. Guests should be treated well and concierge staff should be accommodating and assist patrons if possible.
This hotel is adequate because of its location and price in relation to other hotels in Taormina. Do you get nice linen? No. Are the beds comfortable? No. If you are looking for "inexpensive" accommodation this might be your hotel. If you want a bit more refinement look elsewhere.

Room Tip: 3rd floor corner room.. Stunning view...

Excellent location, close to all amenities (cable car, bus station, corso umberto, etc). We had a very clean room with ensuite, crispy clean bed linen and towels and a balcony with a breathtaking view. Staff were extremely helpful especially Rosario and Giovanna, the receptionists who also spoke good english - they were always there to answer all our queries. Breakfast was served in the open terrace with an amazing view. Breakfast consisted of coffee of your choice - cappuccino, espresso, americano etc, - orange juice, freshly baked croissants and bread, salami and cheese, fresh fruit and fruit salad. We highly recommend Hotel Elios.

Room Tip: Sea view from 2nd floor upwards

Fantastic views from the shared fourth floor balcony overlooking the harbour and mt. etna. Location is brilliant about a hundred meters to the botanic gardens and within a short stroll of everything, from Taormina's main shopping street and restaraunts to the Greek ampitheatre and also just a short walk to the bus station.

Found most of the staff to be friendly and helpful, i say most, the woman serving breakfast.... actually kinda found it funny, comes across as very abrubt, it felt like we were disturbing her morning! Breakfast is basic to say the least, definitely would recommend you go somewhere else for breakfast.

Rooms also were fairly basic but at a budget price and with that stunning view from the fourth floor balcony it's hard to complain.

Probably wouldnt recommend it for a couple on a romantic break, you could find better for that. Taormina can be an expensive place to stay in so for a group of friends, travelling on a budget think it's a good place to stay, just get breakfast somewhere else!

Nice location, easy to clean rooms, very nice helpful staff. It is close to the old town. Price ratio is excellent. Parking is very convenient, but forecasters at the hotel for your parking needs to be solved somehow. Be sure to ask for a room overlooking the sea, the premium is not expensive.

Room Tip: upper level with a large terrace
