“Amazing value, clean and friendly”
Reviewed 14 July 2013

Out of 5 different hotels (including some 5*) on our recent trip to Italy this was by far the best. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Bathroom was massive with good facilities. Had a little balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was great, in a lovely room with views to the sea. The hotel was family run and super friendly. I'd highly recommend the beach service which includes a minibus down to the beach and sunbeds/parasol when you get there. Couldn't have been better... will definitely stay here again one day.

it's a delightful family run business, with great food & even better hospitality, absolute value for money!
Hotel Soleado is wonderfully located, it's just a short walk from the main strip, cable car & bus stop, but is far out enough so that you don't hear any cars or night life in the evening.
We loved the morning continental breakfast & the fresh cherries & strawberries were a wonderful treat!
Our room was kept spotlessly clean. In fact the entire hotel was kept spotlessly clean including the pool which was an absolute pleasure in the midday summer heat!
We were fortune enough to be placed directly under the reception, I think this is one on the few rooms that get wi-fi!
My husbands luggage was left in Rome by the airline & Robert was fantastic in following this up for us daily. Roberto & his staff are all very friendly & more then willing to assist with any queries we had.
We will definitely stay at Hotel Soleado next time we come to Taormina, without a doubt!

Room Tip: Rooms below the reception get Wi-Fi

Soleado is a great family-run hotel which is real value for money - something that's quite hard to find in expensive Taormina. Roberts and is family are friendly and very obliging - nothing is too much trouble from booking taxis and hire cars, to making last-minute restaurant reservations, to lending you towels for the beach! The service was great. The hotel is very pretty situated on several levels with a lovely little pool area and clean pool. Breakfasts were quite basic continental affairs but very tasty and good value included in the room rate. Drink prices in the hotel are very reasonable - a double-sized beer (660ml) a bargain at 2.70 euros!
Location of the hotel is good - in a quiet residential area about a ten-minute walk from the main, buzzing Corso Umberto, and Taormina is a very safe town to walk around at any time of the day or night.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody and we will definitely be back at some point as, even though it is pricey, we are in love with Taormina! It is a very beautiful place.

Room Tip: We were in room 48 which was big with a huge brand new bathroom and side-on pool and sea view. It is...

A friendly hotel in a central location (less than 10 min from the centre of Taormina). Everywhere there are terracotta pots with mediteranean plants that give the hotel a lovely feel.
Our room was clean and spacious with a large, good quality bathroom. The room also had a balcony, ideal for hanging swimwear to dry. Breakfast was very good with rolls, cakes, brioches, ham, cheese, yoghurt, cereals and fresh fruit. The hotel has a swimming pool with sunloungers, which we used one afternoon after a morning excursion to Castelmola.
The service in this hotel is fantastic: Roberto and all the other members of staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Only a 10 minute walk into the centre of town, not too much of an incline.Fairly easy to locate and the whole of the family were very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and extremely clean. The only downside was the lack of soundproofing, the walls seemed very thin, but I would recommend this hotel to both families and couples.

Room Tip: the full sea view rooms have a much larger balcony and get more sun

We love the personal attention given in family-run hotels, but Roberto went beyond the call of duty when he hopped on his scooter and came got us when we were so turned around on the labyrinth of streets inTaormina that we could not find the hotel! Everything about our stay in this magical town was delightful. The room was large and well-appointed with a balcony overlooking the pool, manicured grounds, and the sea. Roberto arranged day trips for us, never seemed to tire of our questions, and does a very well presented breakfast. The location of the hotel is perfect for strolling off the gelato!

Room Tip: The way the hotel is designed makes every room a good one.
