I was in hotel soleado in September 26 for 5 days.
it's very clean,it's a family hotel so everyone is s nice specially Roberto the owner that has goos english too. they were very helpfull, nice and kind.
the location is close to everything by walking 3-5 minutes: the center, the cable car,the bus.
the room was nice, not fancy but very good and clean. and for the price it's great!
breakfast is nice. i like it and i recommend if you want to a good hotel with a good price.

We stayed here in August 2013 and were very impressed. The hotel is run by a family who are all friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious (perhaps a little outdated) with a view of the ocean. Short walk to the town centre. Great hotel for 2 star rating and would stay again.

Just returned from a trip to Sicily. Great experience! One of the best things though was our experience at the Hotel Soleado in Taormina.
Roberto, our host, made our stay feel like a weekend with family. His toughtful service and excellent attention to detail gave us the feeling of being pampered guests in a family home. The hotel's location is outstanding as is the service and staff. Wonderful breakfasts were available daily and our room which was reasonably priced was poolside!

Room Tip: If you don't like steps, ask for a room on an upper floor.

We stayed in Hotel Soleado for 10 days in mid September and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for relaxation, peace and quiet. The friendly staff who were very helpful and seemed to genuinely want us to have a good time was an added bonus. Roberto and his lovely wife Rosetta were just brilliant as were the whole family. This is a two star hotel but to us it seemed more like a good 3 star. We had booked a sea view room, which was quite big and comfortable with great air-conditioning. The best bit was the huge balcony which wrapped around to give us both sea and pool views and also offered some privacy. We sat out on the balcony most evenings and enjoyed some great local wine/beer which is very reasonably priced in the hotel. I don't normally spend much time in hotel rooms, which is why I always prefer to stay in 2 star, however this hotel was so lovely we spent a lot of evenings there relaxing and sitting out on our balcony before heading out to dinner. The hotel is spotless, the pool area is lovely with lots of plants and shrubs throughout. A shuttle bus service is also provided which proved wonderful - we were taken to a beautiful beach which was not so touristy as the ones around Isola Bella, it had all the facilities that were needed as well as being less expensive than using the cable-car etc. The hotel also recommended a couple of restaurants, one of which they do a 3 course deal with for €19 each - was lovely and went back a second time. We really enjoyed our holiday in Taormina and especially loved Hotel Soleado and hope to return some day.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 65 which had sea and pool views plus a really big balcony - probably the biggest b...

This was the perfect place to stay in Taormina, away from the noise and traffic of the centre, but within easy walking distance. The hotel is set in the side of a hill, with the reception at the top and the pool at the bottom. Roberto, the manager, and his family are very welcoming and were willing to help with anything we needed such as parking, giving directions, extra pillows, an extra balcony chair, and booking our trip to Etna.

Breakfasts in Sicily are continental buffet style but the quality can vary. Our expectations were exceeded at the Soleado. The food was delicious, very good quality, and plenty of it. The hotel was spotlessly clean and efficiently run. It was not unusual for our room to be made up whilst we were having breakfast.

We were out and about a lot on our holiday but we also spent a few relaxing days by the pool. Whilst this is not deep, it was perfect for our needs, set in a terrace with a view of the sea. The kids loved it.

Taormina is expensive by Sicilian standards. You can pay up to 7 euros for a beer with a meal, whereas here in the Soleado the same beer was less than 3.

Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Taormina. Recommended.

A family run hotel where Roberto is the capo famiglia. No luxury but enough space, a good shower and good beds. Good price/quality. Excellent buffet breakfast. In walking distance (5 minutes) from the Porta Messina (one of the 2 entrances to the old town of Taormina) and the large shopping street. Quiet airco but no fridge in room.

We've just returned from a 2 week stay in the Soleado and our third visit to Taormina. This time we wanted a small, central hotel with a pool, which was good value - and the Soleado certainly fitted the bill! Located less than 10 minutes walk from the Corso Umberto and 15 mins from the bus station, it is easily accessible and convenient for everything.
We chose a ground floor room, without a sea view, but we had a balcony and only a few steps walk to the small pool. The room was simply furnished but large and spotlessly clean and there was no external noise throughout our stay. The pool and patio area with plants was lovely - you do have to move with the sun though as the pool is between the 2 buildings.
Breakfast is served in a sunny room with a beautiful view of the sea in the distance. There was plenty of choice and all food was fresh and well presented. Each time we had a very early start, Roberto provided us with a package of food and coffee for our breakfast. Reasonably priced drinks and snacks are also available during the day/evening.
And perhaps most importantly, this is a family-run hotel and Roberto and all his family are the most friendly, helpful and efficient hosts. There was always a welcoming greeting, a chat, encouragement for my very basic italian and patient, helpful response to any request we made.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return. We've already recommended the Soleado to family and friends.
Grazie mille Roberto!
