I've been to this hotel last spring for a congress. I spent here 3 nights with my wife.
We were not lucky as the weather was not so good.

The hotel has a great location giving the possibility if you have sea view rooms to enjoy the stunning view of the gulf beside you.

The hotel has an antique style. Rooms were average size. Furniture in the room was normal. We had free cable tv.
There was wireless internet in the room but you had to pay.

The hotel has a big garden divided on several levels. There is a spectacular pool outside.

Breakfast is excellent with several choices including also many local products.

Definitely a romantic and beautiful hotel.

This was a lovely facility perched high atop the Ionian Sea. A quick walk into town. Staff were very gracious.

I stayed for 1 week at the Hotel San Pietro with my husband. It was October, so towards the end of season and the hotek certainly wasn't full. However, we came to relax for a week and so this was perfect for us.

We booked a package trip with Thomson from LGW including flight, transfer and the hotel itself. This all worked out fine and no complaints.

The hotel itself is located slightly out of town. About a 10 minute walk (uphill) into the town centre, but downhill from town back to the hotel which is good after a hearty meal at one of Taormina's many fine restaurants or trattorias. Alternatively, you can take the hotel's free shuttle bus either way if you don't fancy the walk. The lobby area is well presented and staff are very friendly and helpful (and good at English).

The rooms are fairly spacious and very clean. I am a stickler for cleanliness and couldn't find anything to complain about on the cleanliness front. We also had a balcony looking out onto the Ionian Sea and pool area which was lovely.

Although the breakfast was lovely and a really good buffet spread, we only ate in the hotel restaurant one night and weren't that impressed. Compared to the prices in the centre of town, the hotel restaurant is the most expensive we came across. The food was ok, but certainly did not justify the price. Once was enough!

The centre of town is lovely. Old charming streets with old buildings. You can easily get lost just meandering around. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and trattorias to choose from too.

All in all, this was exactly what we were looking for. A really relaxing stay and would certainly recommend this hotel.

Truly lovely hotel with a fabulous setting. We had a junior suite which was definitely worthwhile. The staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Being late October it was only half full which meant that there was not really any atmosphere, especially in the dining room in the evening. Although there was a pianist, with only four couples dining, it was very quiet in between the pieces. The evening meal was very disappointing, with every course just missing the mark. My husband declared the cheese board the worst he'd ever been served. At €80 per person, we felt that it was certainly not worth it. Luckily we were able to change our half-board booking to bed & breakfast only.

We were recommended several restaurants in town, the most fabulous of which was the Osteria Nero D'avola. Just brilliant, and redeemed our view of Sicilian cooking. Be warned, many restaurants are closed on a Monday evening in low season.

Yes, this hotel is expensive, but it was worth it. As a quiet getaway for our wedding anniversary, I couldn't fault it - just don't book half board. Next time I would return in September when we could probably have used the gorgeous pool, booked the table in the Rotunda and eaten all of our meals on the terrace (although we did manage breakfast on two mornings). A few more guests would have added to the atmosphere too.

It rained pretty much the entire three days (which were the first of our two rainy weeks in Sicily). The room (I think it was #107) was very lovely. Our travel agent got us an upgrade, so the room was very large and so was the covered balcony. A bottle of champagne was waiting for us on arrival, which was a good thing to see since our luggage didn't quite make the flight. The staff was very accomodating. The highlight was when one of the suitcases arrived and all the clothing was drenched, the staff dried everything without charge. The breakfast buffet was very complete, including scrambled eggs which is unusual. They have a shuttle to town, which was very convenient in the rain, although it is only a walk of 10 or 15 minutes. Only quibble is that the restaurant was very expensive - you can do better in town. Drinks in the lounge were reasonable, although I wish the piano player played Italian music rather than Elton John !

My spouse and I stayed in the hotel for a week this September. The location and hotel were amazing, the view from a see view room was breath taking...The staff was really helpful, just breakfast was a bit poor, but all the facilities were great, especially the pool area...The views are just amazing! Highly recommended place!

The hotel is in a quite position on the outskirts of the town, and we recommend its position as the town itself is noisy and crowed. The hotel does provide a regular bus service into the town or nearby beach, which is worth a visit. The walk into town is 15 minutes uphill, ensure you ask reception for directions. As mentioned by previous clients the hotel on first viewing is not much to behold, and could do with a coat of paint. But, once you enter the doors all that disappears, and the interior is that of any good 5 star hotel. Not the hotel for children as there are no facilities and no gardens for play. The people behind the reception are very welcoming and helpful. We recommend you must have a sea view room to appreciate the hotel views. If you can afford it have a suite, we had room 204 which was a good size room, the only negative was that the twin beds were narrow. The house keeping was second to none and every day there was new toiletries and bed linen and towels changed twice a day. The pool area was not crowed and there is no reserving of sun loungers. The pool attendant was a very helpful young man. Breakfast is typical european buffet style, but a cooked breakfast is available on request at an additional charge, which could be expensive. (2 euros for a boiled egg) Although it has been mentioned many times, the drinks in the hotel are expensive (16 euros for G&T) but all is expensive in Taormina.
