“hotel del corso very good”
Reviewed 5 January 2014

Very accommodating, service is really great, they try hard to help you in every way. Great view of Etna on terrace and rooms are comfortable with good wifi service. Of course excellent location, right in the heart of Taormina.

It's an amazing and silent place with the beatiful view at the Etna and at the Ionic sea. The staff is friendly and very hospitable. The breakfast was excellent with the homemade cakes.
The mood of relax, the shine and the beauty of the sicilian nature were made our short travel unforgettable.

Hotel del Corso is a small family owned hotel with excellent, friendly service and hospitality. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The AC and Wi-Fi work well. Our room had a nice little balcony with table and chairs overlooking Palazzo Santo Stefano, a beautiful garden, and the sea in the distance. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace with gorgeous views of the sea, the town and Mt. Etna.

The location is perfect, being right on the main drag Corso Umberto with tons of shops, restaurants, cafes, and historical sights. It's right by the Porta Catania city gate making it easy to get a taxi or arrive by taxi since inside the gate is a pedestrian zone. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the Greek Theater and Parco Comunale, 10 minutes to the Roman Theater. Hotel del Corso is an excellent choice for Taormina and good value in an expensive town.

Room Tip: Sea view and street views are both nice.

We stayed in this hotel last week in september. Very friendly and helpful staff, always ready to help their guests. Wonderful view from the top terrace, overlooking the town & hills around while having breakfast. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the street below. No problem sleeping, as the room has thick curtains, and soundproof balcony doors. Absolutely recommended if you are visiting Taormina!

We stayed in this wonderfull family run Hotel from 1st. to 15th. Sept 2013, and were really impressed with the location and standard of service. This Hotel is right on Corso Umberto, so you step out on to the hub of activity, places of historical interest, Restaurants etc. are on your doorstep. From Checkin to Checkout the owner and all Reception staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasent as possible. They give you all the inside info. on sights, tours, restaurants , arranging bookings etc.
We stayed in Room 27, the seaview from the balcony was exceptional, the room was very quiet, free Wi-Fi and spotless clean. We want to compliment the Cleaning Staff for all their excellent work, it is so nice, after a long day, to come back to a freshly cleaned room.
Ah!! the Waiter at breakfast, he was so cheerfull and helpfull, he is one of those people who gets to know what you prefer on the first morning and has the knack to be at your side with what you want, when you want it. He is a mind reader.
We cannot stress enough how helpfull ALL the staff were during our stay, and thank them for making our stay in Taormina so wonderfull.
Marie/Noel

Hotel del Corso at Taormina is a small, charming, family-run, good-value-for-money, three-star hotel. Located at the far end of the main street, Corso Umberto, adjacent to Porta Catania, it is within easy reach of a taxi, for persons travelling with heavy suit-cases. At the same time, places of historical interest, restaurants and shops are all situated within walking distance.

We opted for a large bedroom with three beds. The room was surprisingly spacious by today’s standards. The beds, and the room in general, were impeccably clean and comfortable. Facilities included a small refrigerator, a quiet air-conditioning unit (a must during the warmer months), a small balcony with open sea views, free wifi connectivity (in public areas), a television set with an extensive range of satellite channels, and an electric hair-drier. The bathroom was also very clean. Breakfast (self-service, fairly wide choice) is served on a terrace at third floor level.

Our bedroom was very quiet, to the extent that during the first night we thought that we were the only guests at the hotel. To our surprise, the following morning during breakfast, we realised that there were also many other guests staying at this hotel.

Hotel facilities are important. Yet what makes Hotel del Corso outstanding is the quality of service. Staff at reception and at breakfast were remarkably courteous, helpful and patient. No request was too trivial.

This was our second holiday at this hotel. We shall be back. Until then, we shall continue to recommend it to our friends.

We arrived quite late, but were pleasantly welcomed by Claudia at the front desk at this small but good value hotel (and even got a small discount). The hotel is just inside the walls and has great views from the 3rd floor common area, where we also took some beers late one night and took it all in. Breakfast is good and you can stock up before hitting all the sights. Overall, a very good place in a chic and slightly pricey town.
