We loved our four nights at Casa Ludovica. The spacious apartment is tastefully decorated throughout. The living room/dining area is especially comfortable, with its high ceilings, tall windows and doors looking out to the sea, and the wrap-around terrace with two outdoor eating areas. At first we wondered where the closet is (there isn't one in the master bedroom), but we later found that the large wardrobe (armoire) in the living room is equipped with racks and hangers. The kitchen is small but adequate and came supplied with basics such as olive oil, salt and pepper, etc. The owner also thoughtfully provided a bottle of local wine and a package of sweets for our arrival. The apartment is a two-minute walk to the main shopping streets in town, but quiet and restful with its location facing away from the central tourist area. We enjoyed waking to the sounds of birds chirping in the trees surrounding the property. We parked at the nearby Lumbi lot, which is accessed by stairs from near the apartment, and there is also a shuttle bus that takes you from the parking lot to the center of town. The lot is huge and easy to understand (all signs in English as well as Italian). We highly recommend this apartment to couples. For those traveling with children, there are two tiny bedrooms (one with a twin bed and one with bunk beds) in addition to the master bedroom. It would be a squeeze, but manageable, given the huge living room and outdoor spaces.

Taormina has a reputation as an upscale seaside resort sited on a cliff with spectacular views. Casa Ludovica should have the same reputation. Beautifully appointed with near-magical perspectives in every direction (I arose early every day just to sit on the balcony and watch the sun rise) the apartment had everything necessary for our stay. The Casa is located a stone's throw from the central square, but is sited far enough off a side street so that there is no bustle or noise. Luc made the reservation process very simple and the staff was smart, knowledgeable and responsive during our stay.
One thing -- the stairs from the parking lot can be daunting. But they are manageable, even for this senior citizen and there are shuttle buses and taxis if you prefer to avoid the climb. And once you are in the apartment, it is all worth it.
Stunningly beautiful everything was as previously stated in other reviews. Seamless service from the owner arranging transport to and from airport. Roberto met us on arrival and gave us all necessary information and a lovely bottle of wine. 5 star service 5 star apartment possibly best location in Taormina the views amazing and great place to get away from the noise and crowds. Highly recommended
Excellent central location. Nearby local shop and choice of restaurants.
Apartment interesting and unusual. Spacious main room leading on to beautiful L-shaped terrace which gave access to sun or shade. Plenty of outside furniture. Decor of rooms simple but elegant with lots of interesting antiques and beautiful pictures; well furnished with two large sofas and glass dining table seating 6-8. Kitchen and bathroom small but adequate and equipped with essentials. One large air-conditioned bedroom with own tiny balcony and two very small interior bedrooms with no windows or ventilation. Access from road through imposing iron gate-way and 10 steep steps before a sloping path and more steps (54 in total).
Casa Ludovica is highly recommended. Fantastic spacious living room. Gorgeously decorated. And the terrace, simply wonderful! Location for the town and the beach couldn't have been better. Very friendly agent Roberto who also provided a lot of really useful info and holiday tips. Wish the apartment was for sale (and that I had the money to buy it!).
Met by our host Roberto and driven to apartment in central Taormina. Excellent service and found apartment better than photos with brilliant views overlooking sea. A big thank you for making us so welcome and for advice on nearby restaurants and beaches. Apartment had everything you need and we hope one day to return to this fab place.
