Salvatore e Agatha are so kind that you don't feel like going back home anymore. They run "their home" with so much passion that you really feel like that's your own house. The breakfast is splendid, served in the garden with a magnificent view of mount Etna. They also give nice tips to visit Taormina without going throught some issues that most tourists probably goes without advices. The place is not near the central area, but the parking is included and you can have a nice sleep without loud noises outside. Hope we can visit them again very soon.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed a unique Sicilian experience. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. They treated us warmly as if we belonged to their family. The villa is beautifully designed with very nice gardens and view to Mount Etna. It was like going back in time, staying in a beautiful villa 200 years ago. The distance from Taormina was not an issue as we had a rental car (free parking at the Villa). Although the owners do not speak English they do communicate with their guests and go out of their way to be helpful.

During our stay, we experienced all of the positive things so accurately described in the other reviews - the friendly and warm hospitality of Agata and Salvatore, the wonderful outdoor area and the excellent breakfast to name but a few. Agata told me that the house has been in their family for the last 220 years, prior to which it was a monastery. The house still has that air of tranquility about it.
Everything was wonderfully clean and well organised. I gave 4 rather than 5 stars for cleanliness only because the towels provided on the first day smelt a little unpleasant - the reason probably being that they'd perhaps been put away after laundering whilst still a bit damp.

Room Tip: The family room, which is built into the roof space of the house is spacious. It has sloping ceiling...

Throughout our honeymoon in Sicily we had been to many hotels and BB. This one was an experience that we didn't have anywhere else. First off it's a beautiful well kept Sicilian manor, in itself work exploring, and the owners, Agata and Salvatore, are the most gracious of hosts. They did everything they could do make us feel comfortable including explaining what to see and where to go, in Italian (we got the jist of it). The rooms are very spacious, the level of cleanliness is impeccable, the breakfast is amazing and it changes every day, the terrace is huge with arm chairs and a non obstructed view of Mount Etna. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a true Sicilian experience with luxury, comfort and cleanliness. Thank you Salvatore and Agata!

Room Tip: They're all different and all with a great view.

We spent 6 wonderfully relaxing days here and the location was great for exploring the area in our hire car but what made the holiday a real treat was the quality and atmosphere of Villa Chiarenza!

This beautiful family home oozes charm with it's original works of art and antiques and the breakfasts soon became our favourite meal of the day!

We had a large and very comfortable room with an equally large terrace / balcony which provided splendid views of both Etna and the coast. Within the room we had ample wardrobe space, a sofa, armchair, fridge & kettle. On the terrace / balcony, we had a patio set and comfy armchair (ideal for relaxing with a good book!).

Our hostess was delightful and despite the language barriers caused by our very limited knowledge of italian, we all managed to understand each other.

Standards of cleanliness were faultless and although the villa is located near to the autostrada toll booths, it did not cause us any annoyance.

We would definitely look forward to staying here again.

This magnificient villa is a veritable museum with a wonderful garden with a stunning view of mount Etna, living rooms with all kinds of treasures (quality paintings, sculptures, tapestries and musical instruments) as well as spacious bedrooms with all the modern amenities for the guests. The hosts for the occasion were a most refined elderly couple who did everything to ensure that their guests’ sojourn is most agreeable including serving a gastronomic breakfast on the outside terrace. The villa is well situated, very close to the autostrada in Giardinin Naxos but, because of good soundproofing, the accommodation is very peaceful, giving no hint of this proximity. Guests can park their car outside the villa in a fenced yard protected by a most secure electronic gate.

Three of us stayed 2 nights enjoying a very comfortable upstairs room with a spacious balcony with panoramic views to Etna and surrounds.
Our hosts were a lovely couple who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable (even ordered some pizzas for us to be delivered).
The breakfast (fruit, cheeses, meats, pastries, fresh orange juice) in the garden area was a great way to start the day and if you can speak Italian they can offer valuable advice on places to eat and places to visit.
The added bonus of free parking (might be tricky location without a car) made it a place we would highly recommend.
