The grounds and villa are breath taking and very well tended to. The family is extremely accommodating and make sure all of your needs are met. If you want the ideal Tuscan holiday, this is the place to do it. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

“Magical holiday destination for family and friends”

After driving from Rome jet-lagged and without a map it was an absolute delight to arrive at Borgo Valecchie. The spacious, old stone villa sits high on the hill overlooking the property and the verdant valley and mountains beyond. Inside the villa was quite amazing. Beautiful grey stone walls; glimpses of frescoes many decades old; terracotta tiles; wooden shutters; spacious and beautifully decorated rooms and bathrooms. Davide and his family had obviously gone to a lot of effort to locate authentic and tasteful pieces of furniture that made our stay comfortable and memorable. This care and planning was extended outside as well. The grounds were lush and well kept. There was a small olive grove with hammock - perfect for a siesta; a garden to harvest vegetables and herbs; a trampoline and fabulous swimming pool. The diving board was an absolute winner with the kids and the sun lounges and umbrellas provided the perfect setting for afternoon Aperol Spritz. We loved walking the lanes and hillsides around the property. A short walk from the villa was a local bar that sold icy cold Morretti and a bit further beyond a more salubrious restaurant located in what was once the town's mill. If you're feeling a bit more energetic, a walk (or climb) to Cortona is a must. The path isn't very clear but the old fortress overlooking Cortona is a helpful guide. Probably our most memorable time was the night we spent with Davide's family. They invited us into their home and Sara showed us how to make pizza 'pasta' and we all enjoyed sharing it after it was was cooked in their wood fired oven. They are an extremely generous, friendly and welcoming family - they are perfect hosts with the perfect family holiday villa.

We spent 12 of the best days ever at the Borgo Valecchie in Cortona. The villa is amazing, it is has lots of space and plenty of rooms. We had 8 people there and we were still getting lost in the rooms.
The villa itself is beautifully clean and amenities abound. The owner and his family are extremely friendly and helpful and we were fortunate enough to be invited for home made pizza which was out of this world.
This place is perfect for families and groups. The grounds are large and the pool was fantastic. What could be better than spending lazy days by the pool drinking Sangiovese .There plenty of supermarkets in Camucia the town before the beautiful town of Cortona and we recommend the Coop.

Thanks to Lorenzo, Sara and Davide for making such a beautiful place, we were sad the day we left

We (the group of five adults and two kids) have recently returned from a wonderful stay at the Villa Borgo Valecchie. The house and it's surroundings is very well looked after and is kept clean & tidy. House is carefully renovated with a good taste and great eye for detail. The pool is excellent and the planting in the gardens is superb.
The owners, Baldoni's family, are all extremely friendly, genuine and eager to help in any way they can. Their hospitality made our stay unique which we will always remember!
Would highly recommend, it is a wonderful place. If you are thinking of booking, don't hesitate, you will love it! We would go back in a flash.

Amazing vacation rental in a perfect Tuscan village! Placed on the Cortonese hillside, this villa overlooks the majestic Tuscan Valley. Beautifully renovated, large and spacious, lovely gardens surrounding the whole property, and there is a pool! The owners are so genuine and attentive, and it was a true pleasure to meet them, they treat you like family and want you to experience the very best holiday. Really makes all of your Italian fantasies come true! Excellent experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

“Beautiful Villa in the heart of the Tuscan country side.”

My mother and I stayed at this Villa last June, we traveled with my son who was then aged 11 months. The Villa itself is a well presented, spacious, clean and tidy property and we felt right at home from day one. The owners of the property who live in a beautiful house on site were so warm and welcoming, they were able to advise us on places to visit and were more than happy to cater for any needs we had. We had the pleasure of meeting the whole family and they all made our stay so enjoyable, they invited us for authentic Italian pizza which was wonderful and were more than accommodating. The pool was clean and well kept, we spent many afternoons in and out of the pool and sitting in the lovely garden. The country side around the property is breathtaking, as are the views, you feel like you're getting a real slice of Italy staying here. I would definitely stay in this Villa again and would highly recommend to any one looking for a stay in Tuscany. Molto Bene!
