“Loved this place!”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

We stayed here for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon and I loved it! Such a great location, lovely decor, comfy bed, fantastic breakfast. Considering we were in a city I don't actually find it noisy at night, and we were in one of the rooms overlooking the square. My only criticisms would be the upstairs room (kitchen/living area) is very hot and could do with having the windows opened or air-con and our shower did leak a bit but otherwise I was really happy with our choice and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was modern and generally clean. However, it was quite noisy (probably the windows were not providing good soundproof) as the B&B is located above a square, where there are restaurants opening till midnights and people would gather/ sit down to perhaps enjoy their gelato.

There were no staff except in the morning which one housekeeper serves the breakfast. The breakfast provided was the same for all 3 days we stayed. There were waters/ coffee (without milk)/ tea bags/ some cookies provided in the pantry upstairs which you can always help yourself with.

The B&B entrance was not very eye catching and therefore travellers are advised to get prepared/ study the map before they arrive. In addition, there were no lift to the B&B so travellers have to carry their suitcases for like 3 or 4 levels up.

This was my second visit to Florence and I already knew that I would love the location of Floroom 1. What I had not anticipated was just how calming this fabulous B&B would be after either the seriously fraught flight (nearly missed our plane) or a day sightseeing in this wonderful city. Floroom is an oasis of calm. It's location is fantastic as you can nip back from a siesta or a break before finding a local establishment for a dinner. We used the information provided in the room to find dinner on all three nights ... and all three recommendations were excellent.

The bathroom glass/dividers might not be to everyone's taste although we thought they were great. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was clean. The service was discrete and as fantastic as I had anticipated based on their communication during booking. Breakfast was delicious and the tea/coffee making facilities during the day were great. You can sit upstairs, recover from the morning and plan your afternoon in comfort.

Just beware of the stairs if you have mobility issues. It's a few flights up and there is no lift.

I stayed there for 3 nights with my husband in Sep 2012 and we just love this hotel and I am confident to recommend this one to all my friends if you are travelling for leisure.

This is a very modernly designed B&B with a reception and a few guest rooms on the same floor, upper floor is a little/cozy breakfast area/sitting lounge where the housekeeper serves you breakfast everyday. Breakfast is of good size and taste (but it is just the same things everyday). The hotel is located on the toppest floor of the building (3/F) with no lift so we carried our heavy suitcases and bags with some difficulty. The entrance of is not easy to recognise as it is inside a little alley so make sure you watch for the sign of the hotel at the door and do not miss it.

Other than breakfast time you are pretty much on your own, but we enjoyed ourselves very much because it means you have a lot of privacy. We did not bump into other guests during our stay so felt pretty free enjoying the whole place. The room is locked by password so you do not have to worry about keys.

The bedroom is of reasonable size, decoration is mostly in white tone and modern. I particularly like their high ceiling that also keeps the original wooden roof top and the four-pillars bed. The showering room is of good size and is simple but clean. The bed is also comfortable.

We walked to many locations during our stay there but you need to take a taxi to and from the central train station because of the distance. There is a bus stop within 5 min walk too.

Room Tip: Hotel is on 3/F and there is no elevator.

I stayed at Floroom 1 during my honeymoon, and had a lovely couple of days there. There were no other guests, so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. It's very well designed throughout, the room we stayed in was very nice, clean and comfortable (combination of very modern with old historic charm), spacious and with very high ceilings, with a very modern en-suite bathroom, and a very convenient location (just a short 5-10 minute walk into the historic centre of Florence). Breakfast was in a small communal breakfast room upstairs (only 2 tables), and was pretty good (cold meats and cheeses, yoghurts, cereals and fresh orange juice), if a little bit limited in choice. One (very small) downside was the fact that it was located on the top floor of the building, with no lift (so we had to carry our suitcases up 3 flights of stairs). Staff were friendly and helpful, but were only around at certain hours of the day (as a guest, you get a code to get into the building and your room, there is no-one at reception without prior arrangement). Good experience, though, and a good option if you are design-conscious and are looking for somewhere which doesn't have the typical hotel feel !

You can't go wrong with this clean, modern B&B with friendly and personal service. I recently stayed here in mid-October and had an excellent experience. It is well-situated right near Piazza Pitti, very close to the Arno river/Ponte Vecchio, yet tucked in a quiet area for good sleep. The owners were timely, well-organized and prompt (unlike other B&Bs where they may not be there when you check in) and very friendly. The room is small and nothing fancy, but it is clean and has all modern amenities (including free WiFi and basic toiletries, which is a nice touch for a B&B). If you are not staying with a very close friend/significant other, there may be some privacy issues as the bathroom adjoins the room and they have frosted opaque glass but you can pretty much see everything. The owners were not there when we left mid-afternoon so if you need them to call a cab, just be sure arrange for it ahead of time. I highly recommend Floroom for a somewhat difference, private, away-from-the tourists experience and would definitely stay here again.

Very good and personal service. Floroom 1 had a very nice location at Piazza Passera and close to Piazza Pitti and the river. Very nice modern style rooms.
