First of all let me say the owner, Guido, is a very pleasant, responsive and helpful landlord. He lives in the building and when we arrived he took the time to map out directions, locations of points of interest, restaurants, grocery stores, bus stops and walking routes. When the weather turned damp and cool he responded immediately to our request for heat. Finding an elevator in such an old building was a treat. It was one of the main reasons we booked this apartment and was much appreciated after a long day of touring or when it was time to haul luggage. Another reason for choosing this apartment was it’s location outside the tourist area. This location is very residential with grocery stores, restaurants, a bus stop across the street and cabs that respond to a text message arriving at the door in minutes. We made enjoyable short walks to the major museums such as the Duomo, the Academia, the Artviva office for a tour and to restaurants. The apartment itself is comfortable. The beds in the two main bedrooms have new memory foam mattresses and are extremely comfortable….I awoke every morning refreshed with no aches or pains. We didn’t use the third small bedroom. The two main bedrooms each include brand new tiled bathrooms with an enclosed shower, with ample hot water and excellent water pressure. The kitchen is large and sufficiently equipped. We only used it to make coffee and store refrigerated items so I can’t comment on how functional it is for cooking. The living room is functional and comfortable.
Overall, the apartment met our needs and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Guido!
